Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Hey, just for fun, if any of you "What are you up to?" types are around the bubble, zip on over to Col 285 Sector DH-S b18-4 A and stop on a first footfall. Then "What are you up to?" officially foot-pwn3d the majority that system.

I count 8 of em left --- 4 A, 5 A, 6, 7, 8, 8 A, 9, and 9 A. Just take one if you wouldn't mind! FAME AND/OR GLORY! They will sing songs about your exploration!

Heading for Col 285 Sector DH-S b18-4 - by carrier, as it's a Saturday... to claim a planet for the team, if still available - might as well set up a little shop there - though storage transfer locks up during jump prep i see now? OK the opening sale will have to wait a bit i guess...

*oops - storage capacity issue it seems actually - proof of just how awake the carrier admin are on a Saturday morning before 2pm? :sneaky:

**Aha... we have arrived... it says "Penny Was HERE" ;)

I made it out there and stuck my name on planet 5A. It's a pretty lonely spot, cold and dark. :)

Now, where's my song??

I sure hope the shop stays open for some time... Would love to take a look, later today.
Do you have Vista and Universal open, too?

Well, it's open for business now... yep, re: Vista & UC, though the Pioneer shop tends to only be open when the carrier owner needs new e-breaches batteries... prices are a bit steep? Just compare them to Mr.Tyres' shop down the road! :D

ps: we still buy Tritium in bulk at 149% markup - and Manufacturing Instructions for as much as we are allowed to pay by the Galactic Price-Fixing Market Regulation Authority ;]

What makes my brain shut down and implode is there was nothing before the big bang, Nothing. For me, everything must have a start and if everything suddenly came from nothing... hayelp!

If there was a big bang, what caused it?
Quantum fluctuations aka RNGeezus, it’s all Heisenbergs fault I am certain of it.
Something must have. And if there was "something" that something must've come from somewhere.
Not necessarily and if it did that somewhere is probably unknown, unknowable and unobservable.

That's it. I'm off to bed. I have a headche.
The problem is we tend to use terms like before and after when talking about the Big Bang even nothing is misleading as we tend to think of space as nothing but that is full of light and energy as well as particles and atoms and time all of which happened at or just after the Big Bang.

The Big Bang occurred in an absence of everything including duration and dimensions then it happened and everything in our universe popped into pre existence all in a single (mathematical) point which expanded and suddenly dimensions and duration appeared and eventually stuff that cosmologists and particle physicists claim to understand formed.

Can't tape it, sorry.
And regarding landing...
Automatic landing on planet surfaces was the first thing I turned off - landing on stations is still automated.
What I turned off in the right panel yesterday was the automated start from stations.

I'll be heading out there right after I am finished here.
With those turned off you could make 8,000 credits by swapping the Advanced Docking Computer for the Standard model.

Latest YouTube videos with Brian Cox say the universe always existed, Big Bangs occur frequently, and the bit we see is twice the age we thought it was anyway.

Those pyramids seem to be satellite-crashers. Every time I've been to a new one there is a single crashed dish-satellite outside. In the same position.

Right now, I want to keep my options open.

I think we should start digging. They could be connected.

Ah yes I recall it well; I stomped on the third planet as I recall, next to some skimmers at an irregular signals. Then while I saw what was in their stupid barrels, and exploded some of the barrels for being stupid, then those skimmers got riled up. Bzz whirr pew pew and twas a ceremonial "What are you up to?" system decommissioning by lasers.

Now, I shall hope to see that fancy carrier and planetary credits on my return that way, from an evening of vulture travel and maintenance.

Anyway I just made a fruitful return to the Dweller, who be dwellin, whom I call dwelly, and Elvira. Speaking of bear fruit, well it's always been dismissed as rumor that Elvira is Penny's biological grandma. But the conversation they had in her engineer office, well she kept talking about shifting and thrusting. Then she blessed my 5M shield with the strength of her character, which must have been what impressed grandpa Rupee. Charges up easy too.

Dwelly made me up a pair of gimballed lasers short range, and got some more engine juice in the distributor cap. What a fine sort he is. Well, dwell on, dwelly.

Good to know...
Though I think I'm good on supplies, for now, so the PS store is optional, as I don't think you'd have an Arty w/ NV & IJA in stock... ;)

Then while I saw what their stupid barrels were and exploded some stupid barrels, the skimmers got riled up. They earned a "What are you up to?" system official decomissioning by lasers.

I had just been visiting these two engineers right before I went to "our" system...

I regret to say we are only allowed to sell all things G1 in the Pioneer store - else there would be several G2-3 weapons / suits and even the occasional G5 on sale there... and the place would stay open more often ;]
