CMDR Quain is spending some time in Colonia again.
For some reason, I've finally taken interest in engineering personal equipment while out here. Maybe its being in Colonia and away from the distraction of BGS activity that I always feel I should prioritise. Plus when a war is not important to win, I find myself more willing to do ground CZs.
So far I have engineered:
- TK Aphelion from grade 3 to 5 and its awesome
- Manticore Oppressor from 3 to 5 before I realised it's a garbage gun that can't hit a barn door at 5 paces and I should have been engineering a Manticore Executioner. Oops!
- Manticore Executioner from grade 1 to 5 which didn't take that long now that material mission rewards seem to be better than they used to be and I better understand what I am doing
- Dominator suit grade 3 to 5
I also bought a Manticore Tormentor grade 3, Maverick suit grade 3 with extra backpack capacity and a Karma P15 grade 3 which I don't know what to do with since getting the Tormentor.
I have not done anything with option slots on guns yet or unlocked any of the on foot equipment engineers. I may be a bit limited to who I can access in Colonia for a while.
I was thinking for the TK Aphelion for general use and CZs: Improved Hip Fire Accuracy, Scope, Greater Range, Magazine Size (I often run out of ammo in CZs)
Manticore Executioner as a sniper rifle and 2nd primary for CZs: Audio Masking, Headshot damage, Greater Range, Scope
Manticore Tormentor for quiet kills indoors and a secondary weapon in CZs: Noise Suppressor, Reload Speed, Magazine Size, Improved Hip Fire Accuracy
If anyone with more experience of gun engineering is interested in sharing any better ideas. I'm all ears!
