Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

It's a separate game, like an arena type battle, around some stations/outposts things. I've only seen a couple videos of it, and never tried it. It's never been very popular, and the last few posts I've seen about it were people complaining that there's no one to fight. Empty place.

I think it's weird that we still have it on our ship panel. They should just get rid of it.
I remember they added it to the ship panel so that you could play ED while waiting for CQC to find someone to play against you. Prior to that it had been fully separate and I had never been interested enough to try it, there was nobody available to match me against the few times I tried to have a go so I gave up.

PvP - in any game - has never appealed to me. I think it's because it would hammer home just how rubbish I am :ROFLMAO:

Well... just took on anotherr scav-kill mission. I was hiding on a rooftop, watching a red arrow get closer and closer... as the scav ran by, I started shooting but the gun needed a reload. Jumped up out the way because he was wielding an intimidator and was really close.

As I came back down, preparing to let rip, this happened:

Of course the base was powered down. Of course I was in a Dom suit so no Arc Cutter. And, of course, my SRV came under fire and got sploded.

Jumping up revealed that, yes, the ceiling was completely solid so there was no way I could have fallen through it.

I was hoping that standing on a fire would kill me before the SRV went bye-bye. But no.

I had to stand on the fire anyway, just to get redeployed.

All in all, I felt a little peevish.

Hi All :)

yep me too lol, gimbeld weapons and me ,fixed weapons my chance of hitting anythihg -50+.

...Well, it's reassuring to know I'm not the only one!....though 🤔...I've never actually tried any PVP in earnest, so who knows 🤷‍♂️
When I first started this game it was all I could do to stay alive, and not have my ship destroyed in Solo, and one of the other reasons was I didn't have many credits to play around with, ship rebuys and such.
Nowadays the cost of replacing my ship is inconsequential compared to my credit balance. So never say never, I might just have a go, the only thing I'd really lose is my pride I suppose, so if I overcome that I could well be the scourge of the bubble! :ROFLMAO:
Na!...it's not in my nature. 🥰

Okay, that's another dozen systems under my belt I've first discovered, nothing as yet really astonishing to report. Time to top up my carriers tritium fuel and move on! :)
Edit...well fancy that!, the next system /s I've dropped into have some terrestrial water worlds, plus an Outdoor world

Jack :)

I suspect it had more potential as a stand-alone, free to install game demo, to get players interested in the main game - it would probably have more players and reason for existing that way?

I always park my SRV by the side of the settlement anti ship guns as much hidden as I can from the settlement. So far, no one has bothered it!

Last Few.jpg

I had another one of those GQZ where everyone else was rooted to the spot and so I had to do all the work.
It's quite satisfying to kill the last few but annoying when the last one kicks the space bucket and the radio message says "WE have won" and my fellow mercenaries are whooping with celebratory bravado and saying stuff like "That's what I'm talking about!"

best bet re-log out and relog in again, for stuck missions. they might unglue themselves. or they might pop in under the buildings /moutains and still manage to shoot you down:)

my problem : pirate massacre missions, i went into one and found 5 lovely juice ships to play target pratice on, and within 2-5 secs they all warp out of instance (poi instance : mission target)

this is the only clipper i got, yes there is not
a clipper there anymore

I always sub-target their engines first on as many as possible before they high-wake, then come back to finish the job. They can yield high grade mats and some are clean with no warrants but mission targets, but I don't carry a warrant scanner.

Is there an issues tracker entry for the stuck CZs?
It's been going on for years and surely easy for the game to check using some kind of flag to reset it.

It's just a bit annoying if they then "drift" off at a speed somewhere between your full throttle and boost.
On the other hand, it can be very satisfying in the current CG CZs if you manage to cripple them just when they do their run towards the station and subsequently drift uncontrolled into the station, lose their remaining hull and explode. Saves the expenditure of another few plasma slugs and the related repair bill from overheating.

The issue with using exterior landing pads when your canopy is gone is that the Oxygen doesn’t get re supplied until you are actually on the pad, if you go to a station re supply happens when you get through the slot.
As I found out a metre or two above the pad of an outpost in my canopyless Vulture.
