Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Seen this question elsewhere - still don't know what it means.

If you mean a screen-shot then on PC the keybind in Elite is the F10 key and you can take mega-huge HD screenshot using ALT+F10 (which doesn't work in Open Play).
I'm sorry if make you confuse. Skybox means horizontal which is plenty of bright star and shining.

You mean default graphic in game? I had found that have to modify xml setting file or use mod to display, and in mine there's not skybox as same as like that (i'm using ultra setting), fuzzy display Commander

You could make a post in the PC forum (or edit an existing one) asking how to improve the display quality of the skybox, mentioning that the galaxy appears fuzzy for you, then you might get some useful tips. Also if your first language is covered by one of the international forums then you might find some help there too.

Good luck.

I have to admit, once i'd gone over the edge i was shouting 'booger'* a lot , but by the time i exploded i was resigned to my end.So it was quite a relief to end up back in the cockpit,(i had forgotten about that aspect).
There's a CMDR (SushiCW) who developed a technique that involves bouncing the SRV repeatedly off the surface in just the right way, with just the right timing of thrusters, that he can get it into orbit and just fly around the moon or planet at high speeds. It's quite something to watch!

Here's a thread about such things: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/srv-orbital-mechanics.516102/#post-7871501

SushiCW's instructional video is in that thread.

If I'm reading these posts right, I think what @gundamf91 is asking is how to take hi-res screenshots, with the galactic plane levelled as a horizon and without obstruction from the cockpit struts/ship.

You'll need to play with the camera controls to get the angle/view you want, to get into camera mode = Ctrl+alt+space, after that its a case of maneuvering the camera to get the view you are looking for - Ican't help here, my camera controls are no longer default, and its a pretty arcane array of things to get used to! Just play around with 'em til you find what works for you.

Just bear in mind that whilst in camera mode your ship may still receive flight inputs (there is a key/control to disable this, but again, I'm no longer sure of the default), so be wary of flying into stars/planets/moons etc!

Once you have the shot you want, press and hold alt+F10 to get a high res shot - this will get a picture at higher than game resolution, so you may be able to get shots of a quality you could only dream of for actual gameplay!.

This only works in solo, iirc. And also, if you have it installed, Nvidia Experience messes with this, preventing alt+F10 from working. I'm going to uninstall that from my machine tonight when I get home, as a I vaguelly recall thats what I had to do to get hi res shots last time I played ED.

If thats not what you are asking, sorry, thats all I got!

Also wow, I was tired when I posted my Colonia run start last night - the maths on that is all screwy, so don't anyone expect to find a landing pad 300ly out from the bubble - its more like 3k!
