Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Haven't seen a PG chat yet. You can use either out-of-game tools (like Discord), or you'll need to set up a Squadron. Downside is that you can only be member in one squadron at any given time IIRC.

90 minutes in LTD Hotspot, 63 LTDs, 109 Tritium, SSD only.
Physical argument with asteroid, back to FC for repairs and refit.😬

Gubbins transferred from bubble has arrived on carrier: ordered Beam layzors instead of Mining Layzors. 🤦‍♀️ :ROFLMAO:

Edit:
Right, Command decision!
I can check out all the Hotspots without actually mining anything!
So, the pulse wave scanner is going on the DBX, 10 mins in each Hotspot. Then back to the bubble to buy some proper mining eqpt and put the Asp Scout onboard. And stock up on Vindaloo obvs. 😍 ✊

Hmm...

So, in the private group session I see this:

The three CMDRs in the right-most column have just been sent an invite:

The setup of the group is this:

I need to check the chat commands to see what the group one is. I'll post back once I find it!
Hey Tyres.. do I have to apply to join?

Yep, all should be open to auto-accept. If you don't have any luck, IM me here or DM in game for a friend request and I'll try and hook you in @@@07

EDIT

Note to self: when flying a ship without an SCA and you've just jumped, don't try to post on the forums. Bzz bzz bzz crrccckkk - taking heat damage, hull compromised :ROFLMAO:

I headed over to the other side of the bubble so I could finally trade with the Empire and related factions for a change, and I was pleasantly surprised to see an Imperial Eagle for sale. I completely forgot that it was brought up here. It flies really nice though. I just need to strip it down a little more because the power's about 30+ in the red after suping it up. Though, taking a quick look at the wiki, I realise I can get rid of really basic modules like the docking computer or supercruise assist. It's an inconvience due to me being lazy but I'd rather do that than downgrade the ship as a stealthy little fighter.

I instantly made Chelomey Orbital my home after finding it in Cubeo's system map. Which is cool for two reasons, 1) There's a shipyard outside which is a great little place to test the manoeuvrability of your ship, and 2) For some reason there's always a massive battle going on next to said shipyard so that's fun also.

This is your scanner battery being melted upon approach.

The iEagle can also be the fastest ship when suitably fitted ouy. Mine boosts to 932 but is useless for anything else. Although, perhaps, it mighr be a giggle in canyon running but I've never tried that.

Posting diarrhea today.

KnezBP's post above made me curious so I popped over to Cubeo for a gander, not having been before. I don't think... anyway... that outside port thingy seems to house two ships, the lkes of which I've never seen before. What are theser things? They look, when up close, like cruise ships of the ocean going kind:

That "tunnel" looking thing isn't accessible. I wanted inside :D

Also, I had a look around my landing pad and was pleasently surprised at how much attention to detail there is. Look at the nomenclature on show:

What is an "AD 12 PIN MOD UNIT"? o_O🤔🧐

That's something to look foreward to - oh!
Currently playing a very dangerous game. I’m heading back to Colonia, I’m about 3000ly out. As I’m finding landable high gravity planets, I’m testing my landing skills. Highest so far has been 3.4g.

I am aware of that 9g planet. I have some wreckage on there somewhere.
The Mighty has been bested, iirc. There was a post not too long ago.(11.4G?).Still,you're right,it is a dangerous game.:) As easy to rebuy taking off as landing.

That was a different approach (no pun intended)!
Yes, his technique looks easy to use, and incredibly safe. It also makes a lot of sense using the main thrusters like that. Just point your nose vertical after ending the glide early, wait for the ship to stabilize at zero speed, then go backwards down to the planet by using reverse throttle just a tad. Don't change from vertical orientation until you're at the surface.

I just haven't had a chance to actually do it yet. But I will!
