I was going to brave the horrors and drop off my meagre store of trit at Codgers place, but i guess he's had enough hurley-burley and upped sticks.(wise man).
I doubt he'd get far on 7 tons. Still haven't figured out the SSDM, but i managed to crack another couple of cores,and despite losing a pair of crates to pesky pirates,(Damn you,Galbraith!) , i'm just about holding my own in terms of credits, using the odd mission to keep my head above water. (Crazy money,1.4M for running two bottles of wine about 8 lys, must have been Beaujolais Nouvelle, and another 1.25M for 20 tons of water.) Although the way they get through Hydrogen Peroxide, no wonder they're all blonde. :giggle:

I knew Ray smoked but I don't recall seeing Venkman with one. Not sure you could get away with that in anything below an 18-rated film these days.

No, actually I'm going to look at Anaconda exploration ship configs for a bit while wishing it had the cockpit view of a Type 9 Transporter. Hopefully one day there will be a size L exploration ship with a proper view. 🥺

I am watching your research on thermal profiling with interest.
My new cool krait phantom 'Rune Lon Gah' can sit out side of a station with most all modules switched off at 4% heat.
Krait Phantom - Rune Lon Gah , has a 50-55ly jump range built to explore( or sneak), no weapons.

That missile confused me too at first.

You fire it at the deposit and, if it's accurate, it will hit but you need to hold the trigger while it drills down.

On your left panel, a scrolling graph thing appears. Just underneath, there's another scrolly thing that alternates between orange and blue.

The trick is to only release the trigger when the target line hits a blue band.

I just sold 600t of tritium for 24Mcr profit, the guy had 101 void opals for 1.1Mcr/t , and the local system was buying for 1.4Mcr/t. Fair trade made another 30Mcr from this. Well... the Uberwinder isn't at all uber.

With a railgun and seeker missiles, it requires a far better combat pilot than I. Hit a Python once with the rail, and about three times with the seekers and didn't even dent the shield. My rear was well and truly handed to me and I barely escaped with my hull intact. Good job I fitted those drives...

The Sidey is going back to mothballs after I get the port monkey's to repair the damage.

Thanks,Tyres.That's the missing piece of the jigsaw.I'm about 1M up on the week with one more session to go.Doing a little bit of trading to increase the yield when offloading the tritium.Got my first VO core.Remember them? When they were first unleashed on an unsuspecting population, they were going for
1.7M/ ton. Now they're down to about 1/4. Go figure!

One of the problems is that missiles are near useless against shields. The other is that the Sidey only got two small hardpoints, so mixing weaponry is difficult. What provably works is two Enforcer cannon, possibly at least one of then engineered for incendiary. What also might work could be one Cytoscrambler to take down the shields and one railgun to snipe the powerplant.

Thanks. The thing is though, with the rail, you need to be a good shot and align the ship. I lack in both departments :D
