Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

I have completed the first 13,000ly (ish).

I have found an FC in the wild, it says 0% service tariff. Does that mean I will get the full amount of money for UC data I sell on it?
You're over halfway to somewhere else. 12.5% to galmap/uc, 12.5% to the carrier .Non negotiable, so i understand.
But i don't know for sure, i still haven't encountered one.So, for me, the game is still as it was. A bit like having the last remaining ADS and knowing it's on the fritz and you cant get the parts any more.

Do the maths, if I visit the FC 11 times how much do I make...yes it happened...trying to make the 3Bcr mark over the weekend currently at 2.8B, almost 2Bcr in 2 weeks..
3/4 of it from tritium on selling.

Youre going to need a bigger envelope.Craabs was better.

Complaints are only accepted in large bold type on A3 paper, delivered in A3 manila envelopes, post marked from Beagle point....going the distance counts.. 👾 🐬

Sounds slightly Vogon...

"... without an order, signed in triplicate, sent in, sent back, queried, lost, found, subjected to public enquiry, lost again, and finally buried in soft peat for three months and recycled as firelighters"

I have made some terrible calculations. If any of us end up working together and we have to take a road trip to make a sale, leave the sale to me, I can talk like no other, but the planning of the road trip, the distance, the time it will take to cover and the price collected at the end, that is not a calculation I should make.

Instead of doing my normal triangle loop trek, I think I'm going to have to 'square this one out'. The good news is, I found my first ever use for an FC. I landed on one I found in 'the wild' and was able to do some minor repairs, including taking the ship integrity from 42% back up to 100%.

I did a trek a week or so ago, when I arrived back at the station I was at 0% integrity (Advanced maintenance). Scary. No idea how long I had been running at that. Glad I didn't have to sneeze, I could have blown my own ship up.

Integrity-loss is not quite as bad as it sounds. My understanding is that it is akin to tightening the bolts that have become loosened through inadvertant contact with large objects. Trailing wiring, cracked piping etc. 'Life on the edge, but not as we know it,Jim.' As long as the rivets hold, you're good to go. :giggle:

That is very reassuring, thank you. Maintenance eh? Never my strongest attribute.

At Day 36 of my Carrier Exploration Campaign.

Despite scanning over 2000 Systems, no luck yet with a Green Gas Giant or any Notable Stellar Phenomena. Hard to find stuff.
I'll stick to the area for about 3 more weeks before moving on.

Plus, I'm not quite finished yet "Painting the Galaxy" in that spot ;)
