Ha! LOVE !T!!!!!
I can't even begin to tell you just how accurate you are. I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with these plebs: they really are the most inflexible, ignorant, unapproachable, rude, uselss, incompetant bunch of stupidty-munching a-hats - and that's just their "customer services". I have neve poured so much salt..... or in tryes case not a delivery company.
Oh meeeeoooowwww~
Oh, this is very kind of you for offering assistance. O7If the mission is somewhere in the bubble, I could come help with my Krait or Type 10. I also have an Elite SLF pilot with me.
Got the same monitor! Only slightly smaller and 1440p (which is probably a reason I've not encountered the infamous Odyssey "performance issues"I've got a refund
On the up side, I've now ordered a click-and-collect from Curry'sIt's one of these:

ProLite XB3288UHSU-B1
<p>The ProLite XB3288UHSU-B1 is a 32’’ 4K monitor capable of displaying 4 times more information than a Full HD screen. It will hence suit a massive range of applications requiring an above average viewable area, like desktop publishing, CAD/CAM drawing, data virtualization, photographic and web...iiyama.com
On another up side, my internets are limping a little but I think I'm fairly stable with this "hybrid connect" dongle thingummy until BT give me full phat 500Mbit line. Which should be nice. Think I may need a wifi booster though.
Aaaanyway. I'm typing away here waiting for a rather long SC to end. Took a mission to a system I've never been in and the planet I need is over 350kls away. That'll learn me. Still, it's all good fun and it's great to be back in the game![]()
DPD is a parcel service (from Germany, "Deutscher PaketDienst", German parcel service). From the context I'd assume DX to be something similar.
Right ....... thanks. So they are delivery services. I'd be more worried about what they were delivering, but maybe that too ........![]()
It is, It brought out Night Freight.
Not trying to excuse any of these parcel delivery companies but almost all deliveries are done by sub-contractors working on a paid per delivery price.
I knew I'd seen Dx before - waaaay back in my A level maths days:In Amateur Radio DX means distance working. i.e. Communicating across very large distances.
I also know that Dx (subscript x) is medic-write for diagnosis (just like Rx is for prescription - from the Latin recipere).
No doubt there are loads of others. DX![]()
Brought an Acer same size and very similar spec a few years ago, good monitor, I have had several Ilyama monitors in the past, never had a problem with them and they were only passed on when switching to a newer spec.On the up side, I've now ordered a click-and-collect from Curry'sIt's one of these:
I used to work for them, Not on the delivery service but inter-depot trunking.I knew I'd seen Dx before - waaaay back in my A level maths days:
It used to be a sticky until the forum software was changed. There is always:
Newcomer / Intro - The Elite: Dangerous Acronym Guide
As I browse through the forums I sometimes stumble across a new acronym and have to figure out what it means, so I'm sure it's a steep learning curve for newcomers. Well fret no more, here is the ultimate acronym guide in all its glory, I will keep it up to date and with the help of the...forums.frontier.co.uk
I thought this was a sticky / pinned thread but it seems not.
(I hate the "fandom" sites' intrusiveness - bring back the old wiki sites I say. ... grumble ... grumble ... get off my lawn ...)

Brilliant! It's like a John Martin painting.
I suppose you're right. Thanks!Brilliant! It's like a John Martin painting.
agreed, my backpack in a few mins was completely full the bio horticultural facticity even thou all were dead, i had to make 2-3 trips for all the stuff back to ship. was that an fd INTENTIONAL.just to give you a suprise when you walk outside and get the suprise commandos units.Hmm. That extra backpack space needs moe room for certain assets like hush, lazarus, g-meds etc. Only 30 at a time seems a little stingy.
