Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Wait... asteroid base? Quiet?
Whenever I have to stay over night at one of those, somebody with a power drill is trying to snap the thing in half right next to my head. :D

I CANT HE...(removes ear defenders)... Oh right.:D

Plan has changed. I've seen something interesting on the Galmap, so I'll just see what's over the next hill...

At least I've figured out what some of the PS4 bookmarks were for: best Guardian sites and... Palin fragments! \o/

But I've just seen something else and...

Most pilots return to their ships when they get thrown out of the JackHammer Bar 'n'Grill, not curl up and go to sleep in the nearest conduit.

Well, finished the little 'Palin' expedition, couple of water world's and one earthlike, ker-ching.
Called and picked up the sensor fragments on the way back.

Cashed in at Diaguandri, now gonna nip over to the 'Bug killer' to nab some goodies.

Current ranks: Entrepreneur & Ranger. Less said about combat the better.[where is it]

Just for fun, I'm going to start a photo album with one picture of each of my ships.

Some have nice paint jobs and there's a kit or two floating around as well. With luck, I'll get a couple of shots to match the quality of those taken by Codger (in my dreams). If there's any good'ns, I'll show you the snaps of my "kid". It'll most likely be a very private, very poorly taken, blurry, dark, compositional-challenged mess of an album.

But it'll be a change from the mission haulage truck-fest to reach Elite.

Interdictions up the ying-yang today. Three on the trot en route to Williams Dock in HIP 14211 - no sooner had I evaded one than the next popped up. Pirate scum. One day I'll open fire with everything my Python has. I'll probably hit the rebuy screen before them though.

Then, the weirdo one: dropped from hyperspace back into Diaguandri and was almost immediately interdicted - the odd thing was, it... just disappeared; no evasion necessary, just got the escape vector for about 2 seconds then it just... went. Bizarre. No ships on the scanner either although I did get the "interdiction detected" on the info window.

Still chasing that elusive "elite" trader status - it's taking ages :D

I sometimes get a 'double' interdiction: it just fizzles out, nothing happens. Greedy pirates, tripping over each other in their eagerness. Chortle.:D

Oh, if you fancy a change, bulk passenger missions count towards trade rank.[up]

If you were still close to the star it is possible that the pirate forgot to keep away from it and hit the exclusion zone hauling him painfully out of cruise.

Had that several times once it was obvious it was going to happen as it was one of the talkative ones and when I targeted him he was the far side of the star from me and heading straight towards me his blip vanished when he reached the star.

I think mining counts as well and it is possible to earn fairly good money from that activity.

Boo! Hiss! Cheating, playing it wrong etc.:D

It's not my fault if the pirates are so greedy for my cargo that they fly right into a star!

As for mining heading out in the void to load up with the 3 Ps has been in the game since before I started.

Completely off topic but... as we're all space fans here:

The Expanse series 3 is out on Amazon Prime! Go, go, Rocinante!

Opening sequence is so ED! Ooooh - the protomolecule! Forgot about that. Do I stop watching Nightflyers for Expanse? Nah - do both! :D

The adventure continues!

All Guardian weapons and modules unlocked! Just picked up four Ancient Keys and dropped into the Guardian SLF site.
SRV skills much improved, killing Sentinels while driving round in turret mode. Where's my advanced driving certificate?

Just made Warrant Officer, no idea how that happened. Just bimbling about and they give me medals?

Chased a Conda around Diaguandri in SC last night...in my unarmed DBX. Naughty.[noob]

For a change of pace and those interested in Lore, nothing beats traveling out to the hidden. INRA bases. Run them in order and listen to the voice acting. It's quite good. Then finalize the base tour at Commander Jameson's Cobra.

Arrived at the base of one of the dust clouds, plotted an econ route to the top (about 50ly) spiralling up.Going to start on that bit tomorrow.Sky is already looking a bit redder..Found some bark mounds. So far in good condition, and about a quarter of the way to my nominal goal.Civilization is but a distant memory, and the galaxy is my playground.Could life get any better than this?

I believe, Sir, you have achieved Nirvana.[yesnod]

Popping to engineers to check pinned 'prints. Seems the "missing blueprint" bug has hit me again. The Dev's couldn't replicate so I have some work to do...

Went out mining again. The Colonia area is certainly full of possible places to mine. I found Void Opals and Low Temp Diamonds today. Had fun cruising around and cracking asteroids. Made a few credits. Only one pirate came to check me out, and I was empty at the time, so it was a peaceful trip.

There's something kind of zen about mining. It's very pretty out there.

Codger, quick question if I may: do you take your screenshots in high resolution?
