Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Same here. Did 15k tons at Alcor and my FC is now 25% of the way to Colonia with load of TCUs. Pity you didnt say earlier or u could have hitched a ride.

Anyne can recommend a good FC autopilot script that works? This FC jumping is tedious.
Well I did hitch a ride and I am due to arrive tomorrow. Let me know when you're jumping back and I might come with you. It was a spontaneous decision and I'm not sure how long I might stay for. I've been wanting to do more combat and possibly join a player group for that, so it depends on what comes up. As it was a spontaneous decision I only have one ship with me...

Considered looking for a T9 and giving it no upgrades except an A-rated FSD for the CG... but then realised every time I find a stash of 20k commodity, it's on a medium pad. And even a T9 isn't able to carry several thousand tons.

So never mind!

Anyway, while the CG is the current hot thing and all (and I'm doing it too! Both in fact...) remember to stop and smell the roses now and then. A while back I noticed this outpost has a lovely showroom for all the small ships in it. That deserves to be seen by passing commanders 😸

P.S. Don't forget your limpets.

I always feel so emotionally shallow when choosing "material reward". :)

As for what I am (was) doing, I just spent 15 minutes running around a building, looking for a door.
Had to deliver some... stuff, no question asked, to this person. Had her on my radar, running around, trying it through the roof, I'd try cellar door if Elite had cellars. I think I created a small moat around the bloody thing as I was furiously circling it. No bueno. Must be a bugged-out building or something.
Then I hear "Hello". She's standing in front of the building! Must have ran past her twenty times and she's just watching me like

WHY YOU.... uuuugh

Took the Scorpion out exploring today, and it was good in that role. It can climb straight up a mountain, and has better traction than the Scarab. It handles bumpy terrain better, too. It's a bit slower, and the fuel tank is smaller. It also lacks a wavescanner, but that's not really needed unless you're hunting mats. I found some Selenium anyway, just by seeing a Metallic Meteor on the radar. I like how it drives, but it can't jump worth a darn. Even full thrusters on a .06g planet barely got it off the ground.

Found a random Rocky ring and got the itch to do some Core mining. Took the Krait out for a bit of explosive fun. Cores look different now, so I'm having to re-learn how to identify them. I found a couple, though.

This is where I tested the Scorpion's climbing ability. The steepest slope I could find was about 65 degrees. The Scorpion went straight up, no problem. :)

Yes, my Alt made quite a good bit of money in her little Python. Hauled just over 5000 tons, which is a fair number of trips. It was fun except for having to see system chat. :p
The Scorpy feels heavy. It's like a heavy duty armour plated scarab minus a set of wheels. You're right, it can't jump for toffee! :D

It is slower but, given enough flat terrain, it can get up to 32 - it just takes a long while!

I love it's guns :D

Damn, I didnt know there was such a thing. This is exactly what the game needs more of. More unique looks and locations. Its the cookie cutter parts that really kills my immersion the most. Where is this outpost?

As for the T9 and CG and large pads, with an A rated FSD and Class5 Booster, I had zero issues finding Large orbital pads with enough supplies in the 59-80 LY radius of Alcor. Just use inara and filter to 80LY trade routes. Its normally 3 jumps out and 4 to 5 back fully laden with 750+ tons. I even did some with 6 jumps back laden but its still more efficient to do 6 jumps as long as the T9 is filled.

For some reason my T9 is on a G5 5A... I cant even remember why I didnt put a 6A.

Changed my mind on the T9... gave it an A rated FSD and PP, C thrusters, and hand-me-down 6A engineered shield and size 4 guardian booster. And obviously an autopilot, because obviously I don't want to have to handle this monster by hand.

I named it Un-Brake-Able, for obvious reasons.

So far today, it's very nearly earned it's purchase price back. I'm finding the key is to go for the expensive CG commodity and use EDDB to find stations that are a bit further out than inara shows them. It's a small gamble, because EDDB doesn't show stock - but it looks like most people are using inara, because I keep finding places with large pads and 1000+ units to sell.

Might be able to get close to trade elite before the end... Currently above the N of Tycoon, so maybe 30% left to go, which might only be 18-20 runs if I can load up fully.

Where is this outpost?
I really can't remember, other than "Colonia"... but it's not unique, just uncommon. Keep an eye out while landing 😸

names wrong.:)

trust me if it a t9 it will be a monster to handle and your find it a monster to steer from in dictions.(mini game)

Turns out you don't even need to be in the blue to escape interdictions. If you can see escape vector anywhere on screen, it eventually lets you out 😹

Well, yes. Unless a T-10 or a Cutter comes the other way.

Oh, I still won't be able to brake.

It's a warning to not get in front of me without warning. Best case is we both take a lot of damage.
