Yes I think I'll get a Hauler to maybe use for salad, for the reasons you mentioned, as it's not much bigger than the Sidey. I'm pretty sure I used to have one back in 2015 for trading, but sold it eventually to get a Type 6 (which I still have.)
The only difference was I had to fit a standard 5A shield generator instead of your prismatic one as I'm not yet friendly enough with Aisling Duval to get one. So when I'm out in the middle of nowhere I can hopefully be able to mine for more tritium with it. Just like when you were looking to get your hands on a particular car in, oh, any GTA game...they would suddenly become rarer than rocking horse poo

Interesting. I'm not sure what you changed but I did have an ADC in the size 1 slot in my build. Everything else, except one size 5 slot for the shield, is cargo racks.

You could buy extra gear (modules, etc...) and transfer them to your carrier before you leave town, so you'll have choices while out in the black...
Yes was a problem and after my last post discovered I had to dump one of the 4E cargo racks as I did a quick (local, not far from the carrier) test flight with it and discovered I hadn't fitted the shield generator, so had to swap a few things around. I'll have another fiddle around with it a bit later on because as you said, it needs as much cargo capacity as possible.Interesting. Anyway, based on what you said, I'd put the DC in the size 3 slot and fit another cargo rack in the size 5. The whole point is to have as much cargo space as possible, after all. Gotta minimize those trips!
PS Mining Tritium is possible in the black, but tends to be a slow process no matter where you do it. Good for emergencies, but I personally would not want to rely on it much.

Mining Tritium is a massive waste of time. You're far better served mining platinum and selling it, then buying the Tritium and putting it in the hold. Trust me, you will get bored to tears of Tritium mining in record time, especially in a Type 9 that maneuvers like a pregnant cow being dragged backwards by a freight train.Now I need to buy another Type 9 which I'll name "MANIC MINER," and use your mining loadout for that @nemolomen, thanks!

Maybe I'll just buy the stuff then before I head out, if mining it is the grind to end all grinds as you say. Oh and when I did that quick test flight in my shopping T9 I did notice that it made a Reliant Robin look like a Ferrari...
One could also take a session to mine a Tritium hotspot in a pristine and then another session to mine a Platinum hotspot in a pristine and determine what there is to like/dislike for each approach...
