Question... is anyone else seeing this?

The stuff at the very bottom appears to be being cut off in the outfitting screen:

Haven’t noticed this myself and not logged in atm, but it does look like the type in the lower left corner (normally the same as on the RHS iirc) has been bumped up a point or two, causing some “text reflow”*

*admittedly that’s a term from the long near-extinct era of digital print design 🤓

Tritium restocking: it's not so much the rinse-and-repeat ~10Mm trips to the station and back, but the need to relog over&over due to not being able to transfer cargo to carrier each time... ;p

I have a sneaking suspicion that out definition of "fun" might differ slightly...
But that's okay.
Unless you come drifting out of the mailslot at full tilt with an Orca while I come back from an expedition with tons of data...
Haha, nothing to worry about in my case, I lock on to any inbound ships, if their over 2k distant I know I'll make it. I know my shields will keep me safe too but I wouldn't want to collide with a shieldless ship, the station might turn me into a fireball.🤔

In my experience, shieldless is a not very smart idea if you want to survive a long time outside of inhabited space. Without a carrier.
Aside from their obvious protection against impacts, shields seem to reinforce the structural integrity of the ship. Each shieldless touchdown and takeoff does a small amount of damage, even in zero gravity environments, but moreso under the influence of gravity.

Try a repair limpet controller

Hey, we could sell these things with lines like that.

But
no, I'm already a talented fossil salesperson.

No need to wear two hats there; I usually steal for missions or materials anymore (not to put food in the locker). I retain a sticky finger and select clientele for specially pilfered fossils.

Of late, I've had a lovely weekend with the Viper. The Vulture had spoiled me, and it took a while, and a cactus, but I'm ready to say Sir Hiss is officially a member of the cool ships club.

Now I am dealing with some gun and suit engineers. I ought to have a piece or two of gear all the way engineered this week.

Getting ready to pull up stakes and head for the hills of Colonia around the anniversary of grampa rupee's thargoid disaster, late in the month.

I'll need a spaceship

Speaking of heralding in 3010, I put a calendar in the Exploration forum

As you know some AX guys run shieldless ships and other like to build hull monsters for PvE combat which is no good for PvP because of ramming unless you have a small nimble ship with a good pilot. Check out this guy, he goes around interdicting ships with a shieldless Sidewinder, pretty funny stuff even though the videos are six years old.

There are lots of uses for shieldless ships if you are in the Bubble/Colonia or in jump range of your FC.

But if you are out in the black without the support of a fleet carrier, I would rcommned donning a shield. It suffices to take the smallest you can fit to your ship, it just needsto be strong enough to survive a few bumps and rough landings. It's main purpose would be to bolster the structural integrity of your ship on normal landings and takeoffs to minimize the use of materials for repairs.

This is all said from the perspective of someone who doesn't own a fleet carrier and hasn't had enough time to collect enough materials to have all stocks overflowing.

Wowsers - that’s quite some flying! Awed by the Snackwich-of-Doom there :)
