I'm still finding my way to unlocking engineers. I am currently doing Scavenge or power reactivation missions to seek out Genetic repair meds.
These babies ae hard to find!

I'm not keen on flashing lights either, but I do like a tasteful static colour. I ought to make it a little more blue/teal to match my HUDBeen away for a while - LOML and I went in search of spring sunshine in the Mediterranean for 10 days. Didn't find much but enjoyed a lot of great food
Good to see you've all been busy in my absence. All the hardware discussion has been a trip down memory lane - I've used laptops exclusively for about 10 years but have started to feel an urge for a desktop system recently. But it would start with a plain black box; hate those disco light machines.
Hoping to get some quality time in game this weekend if She doesn't have too many 'enjoyable' activities planned. I'm sure lawn-mowing will be on the agenda but as an old man with dodgy knees I'll be lobbying to be excused anything more rigorous.
Yeah. I don't bother with building my own any more, it's cheaper and easier to get a pre-built and go from there (assuming the pre-built has good components). I still do stuff like add RAM or SSDs, adjust the BIOS settings to my liking, and stuff like that.I take it this was a prebuilt computer?
No. This was (is) a Skytech build. Great components, fairly OK set-up.Wasn't Armory Crate was it? That thing is awful.
I've found that quite difficult with my recent iterations of prebuilts.adjust the BIOS settings to my liking, and stuff like tha
Good luck finding a landing spot there.Meanwhile --
Spikey!!
The Logitech Z906 are over 10 years old.Hi
Well, I sure hope Tyres's new joystick arrives today!
I've just been looking in on the Logitech site UK just to see what peripherals they make nowadays, I'd love a set of their Z906 5.1 surround sound speakers, but at £400....I I keep looking in on their site and the PC hardware retailers / stockists periodically here in the UK, just in case there's a sale on somewhere with these speakers....
...no such luck at the moment!
What am I doing....I've just landed my Cutter at Herbert Dock (Wolf 906) to sell off 300t of Platinum, then moving on to somewhere else so I can sell off other stuff I've mined.
I'm also keeping my eye out for any new information from Frontier concerning this colonisation feature, as it seems to me to be all a bit quiet and in limbo presently.
On my way in to the bubble I landed at a players ongoing system colonisation build and cleared out some remaining commodities I had, and sold them off at the colonisation carrier....I wonder if that player notices!
Dammit!....I've been to three different best buy / sell stations indicated on Inara now as having the best prices for platinum, all three of them indicated prices in excess of 280,000, but at each station they were all around the 270,700 mark when I landed there.....grrrrr.
As I've mentioned somewhere here, I've got two Titan Drive components stored on my carrier, so I might also visit the engineers for a couple of suitable drives to fit a Cobra Mk5 and the Corsair, ready to fit for when I eventually buy them.
Edited... for grammar....and a typo.

Chrome on the vette? I'll have a look!Oh go chrome! She looks amazing !
I'm flying about in camera mode just to see it..lol. mind you it's tough on accuracy zapping npcs
Yeah that's an example of where software on the PC does indeed downmix things because it expects to need to do so. DVD software is designed around the assumptions that go with watching DVDs.the Blu-Ray / DVD player app to override the default sound on the PC and use 6 channel exclusively - so that has been providing DTS via the optical output of the mobo.)
See above. It seems like none of those games are provoking the system into downmixing and recoding. So either you need to do some weird trick to force it (see below) or you need a Windows application which will provide a six channel sink for the games to dump audio into and the utility application will then send that out in DTS for you.As far as I can tell none of the games on my PC output surround via the optical output - NMS, Planet things, not even MSFS - the Z906 decoder does not activate for any of them (it activates for the Blu-Ray player)
That is super-encouraging and suggests a neat hack: if you disable support for WMA, it will force the "Realtek Digital Output" to be a sink only for DTS or Dolby, and that will possibly force the audio stack to treat the streams from the game accordingly. That might be all you need to doThe Sound section of control panel does let me test the optical output producing DTS Audio and Dolby Digital and those test out properly (and the decode light comes on on the Z906).

Which app "does not offer an alternative to stereo" - I can't quite parse that sentence, can't work out which app you think is the blocker...The thing that is bothering me is that as I mentioned earlier, windows sound properties allows me to successfully test DTS and Dolby-Digital over the TOS with no problem but the app will not offer me an alternative to stereo as the default.
Thanks.....

I was in solo anyway since I wasn't sure if I'd clog up a landing pad at the CG. The anti-xeno private group can get a little antsy about that and I don't want to risk a ganking in open while making my first contribution.Sorry nobody was home. I trust you left the big pile of CMM Composites behind the bins as we agreed?
There are according to the Inara CG progress page 6D 18h left so you could collect your credits just after that at Kidd Station by hitting complete the modules and paint will appear anywhere from almost immediately after that to a few days later.Quite enjoying the CG although elite pirates seem a little thin on the ground in the HRES. Still, it's credits that seem to be the order of the day so the Vette is having an easy day.
Not sure at what point I'll get the modules/paint jobs but I s'pose I'll find out in due course.
From the wiki:I'm trying to find a post... I'm sure there was something saying Thargoid scouts had been reduced in terms of experience gain. Am I remembering right or dreaming again?
