Why is that an issue - at least in PvE? Just kill the mothership fast, and the SLF stops to be annoying.

Decided to practice a bit of piracy in a nearby anarchy system with the Clipper. Plenty of Type 7s around so seemed a good spot. So there I am following a Type 7 to interdict it, and ... I get interdicted by a pirate. I lost 3 Type 7s that way. Bl**dy pirates, scourge of the galaxy I say 
I did manage to shoot the drives of a Type 7 but never managed the bump stop move to stop it spinning off into space. Only managed 5 units of trade data worth 15K credits each in the black market.
Piracy isn't easy, especially with all the pirates around....

I think he means bloody pirates. But with a capital B, so it would get censored.

I can't believe this post is still kicking. Kind of cool actually, in a weird sort of way I suppose.

It's been two weeks and currently I have no idea where I am, least of all what I was doing due to my HOTAS took a dump and had to wait for a new one.
Now that I have a new one, I suppose I'll go find out if I'm dead and floating in deep space as a skeleton and a half-eaten pop tart.

I feel your pain. I bit the bullet and spent a small fortune on Virpil gear, but my throttle's been giving me grief the last week and a half. (Several of the buttons will sporadically stop working if I have any throttle applied, so to drop out of supercruise for example, I have to throttle to zero first). I opened it up expecting to see a pinched wire, but nope... gave it a cleaning, and will hope for the best next time I'm in-game.
May your pop tart at least be one of the frosted ones my daughter likes!
This thread is nearly four years old now which is a (nice) surprise to me. I put it down to extremely great posts and the fact that there's no trolling * flaming, whinging, wining, clickbaiting, triggering or any other negative meme! And we help each other where we can.

If they have been in an escape pod that long then both the body and the poptart will almost certainly be frosted.
Sit down in the comfy leather chair and drink some fine brandy, isn't instancing wonderful we can all sit in the same chair and drink Tyres brandy without getting in a fight. Until the bar bill arrives.
Look at that big orange poofball!
It is a nice perspective the little one is about 1/3 the width and 1/4 the mass of the sun. The big orange giant (the O.G.!) is ten times the width of the sun. Yet just about 3/5 the mass!! That's funky! It's also about ten times farther away. So for perspective..

I've had the occasional instance (maybe once or twice?) where the SLF actually hung around for a bit after the mothership went kablooie. If I remember, it happened when I was in a HazRES... they took a couple of more shots and then just flew around aimlessly... pining for its momma.I tried, many time.... I regret it...
Some more cool stuff, this little moon I landed on last night had 7 bio signals with some very different looking plants
