Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

One or two runs (3 at best) is worth it, after that it pays less than running a 9 cabins conda from CEOS which is only one jump per rotation.

If it wasn't for fear of doing it for nbothing (scans, failed missions, fine and detention), I'd buy another Anaconda and fit it with cabins, even stock and not engineered it would do the trick, from Rodigo I run out of clients after a while and the trip is longer, although it pays relatively well, some trade routes can pay better for 2 jumps.

Having said that, I'm trading at 2/3rd of the credit I was making a week or so aago, looks like the market is depressed a bit, I saw routes at 90 million/h, now the best I can find is 63 or so...
The thing about Robigo Mines is it can be done in the background while doing other things. It's zero thought and always there. In Ceos I would have to keep changing station every 2 or 3 runs as the missions dry up. In Robigo Mines they are always there. I'm doing it right now as I wanted a materials top up, and then it was convenient to get a bit more cash in for a probably Corvette purchase.
Even trading is a more fun way to get credits when you want to put thought into it.

My runs take 11 minutes. Most of that time is the supercruise from the star to Sirius Atmospherics and then from the star back to Robigo Mines.

While I've got that on autopilot, I alt/tab out and surf the web, read news, post here, etc. When I hear the "BOOM" of coming out of supercruise, I alt/tab back in, dock, reload and off I go again.

I've not timed myself, but I recon I could do an 11 minute loop if I focused on it.

Congratulations. That's a pretty cool plant, but how many Codger rocks have you found? BTW, how's the arm feeling, better I hope, those things can be nagging.
Thanks! Been a long time, and a few false starts, in coming...finally...

Sorry, my Codger Rock tally machinen ist kaput...

The arm sucks...

I want what you guys are smoking.

The SRV is repaired every time you reboard your ship. It’s not refueled, but it is repaired.

The way I drive I make a lot of use of that feature.
Yes.

Mine gets refueled every time I dock it at my ship, if I remember correctly. No clue where that fuel comes from, though...
No. Refueling only happens at stations/carriers/ground ports or via synthesis...

I beg to differ... I think @Codger is correct here: the SRV will be repaired but not refuelled. At least, that's my experience anyway.

Yea and verily...

It's because I'm on autopilot most of the time. The only time I'm actually "there" is picking the missions and doing the two jumps there, scanning the beacon, then the two jumps back.

If I stayed in game and manually flew the ship on max throttle to Atmospherics and Robogo mines, I could probably get it down to 10 minutes, maybe even 9.

But to me the tediousness of it is not worth it.

There was a known bug preventing the SRV to be repaired by its mothership, personally I came to the conclusion that it was necessary to have two onboard because I never saw it repaired after boarding.
There are clear disparities when it comes to player experience even with the same release of the game, I wouldn't be surprised if it came down to corrupted or non-updated files in the instalation folder interfering with the servers...
Well, all I know is that it has worked the same in all the years I've been playing.

Here's how it works, in case any actual newcomers drop by.

1) If your SRV is destroyed, you cannot get it back without docking at a station. You can then get a new one from Outfitting or by Restocking. This also works on carriers if they have the relevant modules installed.
2) If your SRV is damaged, it will auto-repair when you board your ship. If you have previously repaired it with premium synthesis, the buff will be lost.
3) Your SRV will NOT be refueled when you board your ship. You can synthesize fuel if you have the mats.
4) Your SRV will be refueled when you dock at a station and refuel your ship.

Them's the rules. Disagree if you like, but you'll have to make a video to prove it :)

Never heard of that bug - I think it is more likely that it is a perception thing. If you go to the ship's crotch panel after having previously driven the SRV you will see the fuel below 100% - not the hull.

BTW - you need never self-destruct a stuck SRV - just exit to desktop and load the base game - you (and the SRV) will be spawned in your orbiting ship.

Regarding your last sentence - I think you need stronger tin-foil for your hat. ;)

Hmm, figuring what paint should i put on the Scorpion... That PA on top.... why it looks almost the same as a size 3 CF-377 Laser repeater in "the other competing le"???🤭

Hmmm... When I get back to Deciat after this exploration jolly I'm currently on, I think I'll have to buy me one of those scary-looking scorpion thingies if I can. All I have at the moment is a bog-standard SRV.

I told you I would let you know if I got interdicted a bunch more, and the answer is no. I have not been interdicted again while doing the Robigo runs since those first 2 times, the first day.

So I think it is a rare occurrence tied to some of the illegal passengers, but not all of them. Anyway, it appears that it does not happen often.

I find interdictions rare and only the first one or two times when arriving at Robigo for a new spell of doing these runs. They seemed to be more common when not allied with all local factions. Both my commanders are allied with all factions in Robigo, Sothis and Ceos.
