What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

Build a way too large Grizzly habitat and thought to myself: "You know what, why not kill two birds with one stone?" and combined Timber Wolfs and Grizzlys.

I stil have to fix the waterfall and am overall not super sure if I'm happy with the habitat, but still...

5 habitats left on the list for Murmeldorf (Dhole, Beaver, Prarie Dogs, Cougar and Asian Black Bear). Theeen I'll turn breeding on to have some fun and do the fine tuning in the zoo.
Does this really work without any Problems? I've expected the Bear to shred them into Pieces

I added this waterfall feature for my entrance courtyard area to go with my food court garden area. You can grab the workshop link here for anyone interested: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2807314815

Today - I've been landscaping and doing Coastal Heath-land type gardens in the fictitious town area outside the Aquarium and down the road. Have been decorating the streets-cape and shops and structures too. The first photo = Molly Gobbles has a slightly queertastic vibe and is an ace fish and Chippery along the main drag of fictitious Monterey Town. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤 The last four photos are before Molly Gobe and Mandy-Lou-Ray St-Claire took over the fish and chip shop . . .

Afaik it can work rl when either the cups grew up together and/or the animals have enough space to evade each other if need be.
While i never have actually seen wolfs and bears together, i have seen arctic foxes and bears together multiple times, so if aything i would be worried more for the bear then the wolfes.

I just get really annoyed of the INSTANT fighting when a male juvenile grows up, so turning that thing of saved me some nerves.
The worst Part about it is that (unless they've fixed it in one of the last Updates) they just magically get injured without fighting

I would rather worry about the Wolves than about the Bear because it already happened a few Times that Wolves got killed by Bears in shared Enclosures. Don't know if there were any Incidents regarding Bears and Foxes

An American zoo kept arctic foxes and polar bears together a while back. I don’t think there were any notable incidents but it was a highly stressful environment for the foxes even with spaces to shelter from the bears.

anyway, I’m now renovating my zoo’s Into Africa exhibit. Not totally sure about everything I want to do, but definite wants include:
  • Add a restaurant
  • Add cheetahs
  • Build a more forested area with a small creek running through it
  • Expand my savannah habitat and add a waterfall and river to it

So many great pictures and ideas this week! Unfortunately I've barely played at all since the weekend. Work has been extremely stressful and I've pretty much collapsed after getting home and eating every day. Plus my back is hurting really bad, so sitting at a desk after 8 hours at a desk is not on the table for me. Hopefully this weekend I'll play some!

I just got done with the tutorial-maps today, which took me about 40 hours (and I'll get back to why and also why that's significant).
As you probably know, there are three parks you do, with the last one being the Panda Park. And while you can be done with it way faster, I just took my time with each to actually do things properly to learn and practice. I just enjoy doing this stuff anyway, and I get obsessed over details, even though I was still doing tutorials.

So then I finished the last thing I needed to do, with the inspector leaving the park with a good rating, which is supposed to be kind of a victorious moment.
And it was, as the game was kind of cheering me and everything, and I would've appreciated it if it wasn't for the fact that suddenly almost all the animals were just dropping dead.

You see, apparently I'd played so long that the vast majority of the animals became elderly. And I was already wondering why I hadn't seen a single one die yet.
Well, it seems that the tutorial just prevents that from happening, so it was like "The Happening" or something and I was like...

Have been building an abandoned cannery and food truck vendors decided to park on the flat entrance area of the cannery and entice the peeps as they head through the walk-through town area on their way to the Aquarium. The whole town is being revamped and the the colours of the rainbow are taking over . . . ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤎

Looks nice. I should probably do more with those Food Trucks in the Future

I started a zoo a few weeks ago. The enclosures you will see are reproduced by real zoos. I know it's not the same. It's been 4 years since I visited a zoo so that's what I remember. All I have is an old or new zoo map and my brain.

We started at the entrance with some flags

Here is the enclosure with the Water Buffalos. It's enclosure I reproduced the enclosure of the Pari Dicia zoo and the temple too

I have been playing for almost 2 hours, but I haven't done anything. Instead I've done something I should do more often: I've just enjoyed watching the animals. Oh boy, this game is so beautiful! All those animations, all those sounds (love how the sound of the steps changes depending on what surface they are walking on), all those atmospheric effects, all those people taking selfies... I love this game

I've also noticed today that babies follow a lot more their mothers, that's cool.

I started making a warthog habitat for the warthogs I had put in storage while I rebuilt my main staff building where the original habitat was. I realized too late I had been spending way too much money so I temporarily finished the habitat and just barely had enough money left for facilities. After I opened back up I went negative for a while but finally managed to stabilize and make a profit again. So I started on a Bairds Tapir habitat to keep people flowing towards the warthogs. Gotta say I really cut it close there and thought all my hard work on this zoo was for nothing for a hot second.
