What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

I detailed the ssurroundings of the grizzly and wolfes habitat, fixed the water and fought with my new beaver habitat. Artificial pools anddeep swimming areas are still my nemesis.

And in case someone wants to complain that logs are not a good idea as a beaver barrier: They look very concrete made and painted to me, thank you very much.

Working on a primate house based on the Antwerp zoo. It will connect to several monkey exhibits and a second hallway for the great apes.

I finished my 'Hook a duck' stall and am quite pleased with the result. Unfortunately we don't have many small toys. So I made simple things like hoops and magic wands. If someone has an idea for more easy to build toys, please let me know.

Edit: I placed it on the workshop.

This is truly amazing! I hope you'll put it on the workshop.

One tip for photos: if you press 'g' in the game you can hide the menu and all notifications.

Struggled with rockwork for my habitat that will either be for mandrills or Japanese macaques. I tried faux rocks, mud walls, stuff with the South American ruin pieces, but nothing was to my liking. In the end I just threw everything together and got something I'm starting to like. Still need to fix a lot of details and I may eventually still decide to go with another idea, but not too unhappy with how its turning out.

Soooo.... build the habitat yesterday, finished decorating before work today. Murmeldorf has now Cougars. It's not the most beautiful habitat for sure, but since Murmeldorf is low budget,it really has to have beautiful and less beautiful habitats.
Three to go now until I switch on breeding and do only finishing touches and shops. I am so not looking forward to the black bear habitat... Dholes and Prairie Dogs are the two other ones.

But first: Here are the cougars.

Not today, but yesterday evening I did a very quick Paririe Dog habitat. I have to say, I like it. Sometimes quick isn't bad at all.

Sooo... Black Bear and Dhole habitat and then I'm done with habitats. However, there are still a lot of little things to do. Like the Restaurant. I still can not wrap my head around on how they work and how to best create one etc. and what would fit into Murmeldorf.

Does anyone have an idea on a foresty low budget zoo restaurant? Workshop inspiration, reference pics from other zoos, etc?

That planting garden is beautiful!

In terms of a more frontiersy looking restaurant, IDK if this fits the bill but here's the Cypress Knee Cafe from Audubon Zoo.

Slightly redesigned the Upper Forest walkthrough of my Amazon: Andes & Atlantic building. It now feels more expansive and natural as well as being generally brighter.

After quite a while (I think a few months) I came back to my Arctic area to finally finish it. This weekend I've completed the dall sheep habitat and finally added a shelter. In addition, I finished the interior design of the log cabin which serves as a viewing area to the Arctic wolves and the reindeers.

@TheYeti Oh no, nature is rude ;) But absolutely awesome work there.

I was away from the game for a while but played again over the last couple of days.

Trying out some ideas from my main zoo with a mini zoo with only smaller common animals but the mesh is driving me mad!
As someone who uses a lot of Mesh pieces in Murmeldorf, I feel the mesh pieces have their own personality and it is evil. Totally get why they drive you mad.

It's that time of the year again when activity on the forum is low and I spam you with my zoos. This time I present the Formosan black bears from Bear Lake Park:

Next to them, there's a lake with grey seals. There's no underwater viewing area this time since the habitat is quite natural.

but the best thing of this area on the upper part of the zoo are the views from the tower and from a viewing platform.
