Hello everyone. Over the last few weeks I've worked on the european area of my zoo and I've done a nice looking farm as well as a typicial village from Alsace. Today I faced a problem.
Note: I play in sand mode and my zoo is purely aesthetic and not ‘practical’ for the usual purposes of the game.

I had this crazy idea to put white storks (mod) in some nests on the houses roofs to recreate something I've seen myself irl. The idea of course is that the storks will be stuck there and won't move (yeah, the animals in my zoo don't need to eat or drink 😂 ). The thing is that there is no way for the stork to walk up there and I first couldn't move the stork myself to put them there. So I tried to trick the game and I used the path tool. It actually worked, I was able to put the stork in the nest. BUT I was a fool... Once I deleted the path that I built to trick the game, the game removed my stork from the nest because it was no longer an area in which the stork could walk

My question: does anyone know a way to put an animal in a specific spot and leave it there forever?

Maybe if you turn scapes off? Idk.

Not much building this weekend, but decided to put in a parking lot and school next to my zoo. Als reserved an area for a kids playground (probably a soccer field). Also placing a lot foliage again and still it keeps looking empty!

When you start your visit with the Asian section and look over to the African section, you can see the school in the background.

Due to trees most of the vision for the kids of the school is blocked.

There is also an underground car park for people living around the zoo. This one needs a lot of work and thinking of building some shop or cinema on top.

Would you believe it .. I jumped into my T-Z zoo with the Takin complaining of hunger and thirst .. so, decided to through in a shallow pool of water in ... right next to the tap water rofl .. They came running to the pool rofl. Now to sort out the food situation rofl.

I built a Indian Elephant and Rhino enclosure in my sandbox zoo and I think I'm happy with the results (just don't ask me what enclosures are going next door because I have no idea yet)

However, when I felt achievement of this new build, Lola the artic Wolf decided to teleport out of her enclosure. Her home is next to the snow leopards so it's either that area is just glitchy (which is bad because that area is huge) or Lola saw Ella escape and thought it looked fun:

This is the area where the artic wolves, snow leopards and Indian Elephant and Rhino are all in. As you can see they have a few neighbours too. No one else as escaped (thankfully) I also find it rather funny that only females have escaped so far. I don't know if my males are lazy or are just letting the females cause all the trouble.

I had this empty canyon area between where the snow leopards, red crown crane and Japanese macaques live and the second dome. I couldn’t figure out how to bridge the areas together. Eventually I settled on grading it up into a walkable path to reach the second dome. It’s fully landscaped with wooden retaining walls and tons of foliage. In order to do that I had to do a little path weaving to make the incline less severe. This created a little pocket of space which became the perfect home for the red fox. I made a covered area for guests which has a shallow underwater viewing gallery into the habitats pond and kept up top side open and uncovered. Probably gonna add some climbable logs for alternate routes from the top to the bottom of the habitat but it can wait. It’s functioning well and it brings in a lot of donations.
