What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

Awww, everyone is SO good at this! Noob question @DarthQuell why do you have player names in the top left of your pictures? Do you somehow play multi-player?
Ha ha, sorry about that. I was actually having a discord over Discord🤪. Not, not really, I was just in a Discord session with my brother and some friends of mine, and I always forget that I have the overlay on when I play Planet Zoo.
I wish multiplayer was an option, though...

I started an Australian franchise zoo last night using the Australian themed stuff. I am not showing any close up pics as it looks pretty rubbish but I am not really sure what to do to improve it. I think I build too quickly, I need to have patience and slow down/plan and take more care.

I've got cassowarys on the left and then the habitat on the right has kangaroos and koalas. I did make the latter a walkthrough habitat but the peeps kept dropping horrid litter on the ground in there instead of using the placed bins, so I took that privilege away from them and they have to view from outside the fence lol.

Very nice enclosure. And yeah, I hate that guests don't use the bins. A potential fix are some "don't feed the animals" signs, and.you can kinda hide them underground or in some shrubs or rocks

Back again tonight with more detailing and the first habitat for The Floodplains, containing a huge bull crocodile - having a lone male is my typical setup for saltwater crocs in PZ because I cannot stand how the females look (they're among the most inaccurate animals in the game).

@Chuditch that looks amazing. How did you do the vehicles? @DarthQuell thanks for the tip about the 'don't feed the animals' signs.

Yesterday I worked on my North American zoo, which is using the aquatic theme. I started with the skunks and then the armadillos, split with a keeper hut between them. I am happier with how it turned out than my previous habitats, though they are rectangular rather than a 'natural' shape.

Oy those are real good, especally for someone who just started out with building. Super good job, i even see custom fences!

Today was a decent day despite being sick. So I managed to finish my Central America area, and add in Jaguar in South America. I also added in a food court in Central America. Tomorrow, I'm hoping to sort out my India and SE Asia section after getting caught up on animal research. Maybe fixing my cash problems, Sitting on a -30k deficit a year, which doesn't matter so much given my now 1.7 million dollar war chest.

I was in my Arctic zoo yesterday, it's one of the first Franchise zoos I made and I'm trying to get all gold animals there. It has the arctic fox, arctic wolf, dall sheep, grey seal, Himalayan brown bear, king penguin and reindeer, plus an indoor reptile house.

I'm thinking about bulldozing the entire zoo and rebuilding it cos it has over a million dollars now and some of my building skills in there are abysmal haha.

Happy new year everyone! I hope you had a nice New Year's Eve and I wish you all the best for 2023!

To kick off the new year in this thread, I came back to my other zoo project - Biopark Luxemburg. I had this really large red kangaroo habitat in the entrance area, now they share their space with a group of red-necked wallabies and a pair of emus.

Looks really good, Hugo.

Howdy y'all, welcome to a Longview Zoo update. We're so happy to announce that out gator pond is done. Check it out:

Featuring 3 gators, tons of water, and an endless supply of meat. Check out our gators next time y'all visit the zoo.

I haven't started to decorate the area just yet. I have no idea what to do. I typically use bamboo and rocks, but maybe there are other ideas?

Thanks DarthQuell!

Your gator habitat looks good, I like the idea with the wooden dock.
May I give you an advice though? Try to vary in your rock selection. Right now it looks a bit repetitive, you could use some other (faux) rocks and mix them in with the existing ones. It will look much better :)

I should experiment. I've noticed that it's repetitive but I I've been to lazy to do anything 🤣.

Wow, lazy in a video game. How low to go😅

Edit: some plants may boost the look of the rocks not seeing so bland, too. I may also do that

@Hugo98 I love the edging of the habitat where you have the planted area next to the fencing and it has the kerb edge inside.
@DarthQuell great viewing tower. How come the gators don't escape between the wooden posts?

I needed to do my red foxes today, which are going in my European zoo. It is having the Twilight theme. I built my foxes a little mini castle to live in, the keeper gate is on the other side of the castle shelter.

They seem to really enjoy it in the water.
