What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

So, yeah, that's my zoo, so far. Bad building, cruddy construction, gross graphics
Haha, dont be too harsh on yourself, it looks good- I like the Gibbon/Siamang enclosure, works really well with the climbing frame. Although I admit, I dont envy you the low graphics settings, I am now so used to nice textures that I would go mad with these. Not too bad on the animals as on the pieces so at least you can still enjoy these. :ROFLMAO:

@DarthQuell I also like the gibbon habitat, they have so many nice climbing frames.

Why are you not trying out GeForce Now? It's really great and not expensive (like 5 dollars per month) and you can enjoy the game on highest settings and you can build a relatively large zoo. It's definetely cheaper than buying a new gaming computer. Without this great thing I wouldn't be able to play this game. My laptop couldn't even start the game😅

Thanks, ha ha. I cheated: I downloaded the climbing structure...
For the building itself, I had to build 2 separate buildings 45° from each other, and it was a headache to make it work, believe it or not

I've thought of it, but my internet provider is... Not the best, to say the least.
Randomly goes out, can lag many times, and since the rest of the family is online working, I don't wanna risk laughing their business, as well. Maybe some day, though... OR a desktop computer

Another enclosure for South-east Asia with the first animal from the Southeast Asia Animal Pack in Stringybark Zoo, the binturong! I don't know how often binturongs are kept in roofed/mesh habitats rather than open-topped, but the binturong habitat at Adelaide Zoo (the only zoo with binturongs I've visited thus far) is fully enclosed in mesh so I wanted to go with a similar design here. The basic shell for the habitat was actually copied from the capuchins, but I modified it enough that it feels quite distinct. Also I think this is probably the best custom climbing frame I've built thus far, even it it is quite basic - it just "blends" into the space well, if that makes sense.

Not fully decided on what the next habitat for the South-east Asia area is going to be, but it's probably going to be either the Indian peafowl or my beloved sun bear.

The ultimate example why a net approach beats a line.
Building compact and efficent helps both real and especally planet zoo guests to stay engaged, walk distances short and to fullfill all their needs, which also helps to not have to put facilitys everywhere.
Still impressive to see such a dedication to the line
It'll get more net like, once Europe and Africa get in. Plan is for Africa, Australia, and South America to all converge towards a king penguin exhibit.

I'm out and about this morning (at the mall, The Galleria), but when I get home this afternoon, imma keep working on Zoo Santa Fe. If y'all look closely in the 1st image I posted yesterday, y'all can see, in the bottom right, a bunch of unfinished buildings and some rocks.
That's gonna be a Japanese garden with some cranes (are the cranes walkthrough? I think they are, right?)

I'm hoping it looks good

I seem to have lost any iota of creativity I used to have for constructing buildings. I started a tiny koala house using the WE dimensions and it was going super well, but then I suddenly had to build the exterior shell and...fart noise.

Oof, I feel yah. What I've been doing is putting the lowest wall pieces (1m) as a sort of border along the standard 4m wall piece, for pizzazz

WIP gibbon island. The idea is that they can brachiate above the visitors to the third island in the end.

Still needs a lot of work but I already brought in the gibbons for testing the transversable area. As you can see I have the annoying issue that they can reach the roof of the backstage area and the little outdoor cage and I don't know why. I already switched off the climbing of the wood pieces of the cage but it didn't change anything. I hate when something like this happens and I can't find out why.

I added some decorations to my “Feline in China” house, the animal inhabitants are leopard, snow leopard, lynx.85% completion
I have built a new subsidiary exhibition area. Considering the sensitivity of felines, I used an aerial passage to link this new exhibition area with a breeding house that tourists cannot enter. I'm considering whether this area should be used as an area for the original three cats, or new cats (such as Pallas's Cat, Clouded leopard, Asian golden cat, etc.).

This looks great! I love the roof structure, it really enhances the look of the building.

Back again, and the next habitat ended up being the peafowl! For them I wanted to build a large walkthrough aviary - this was a bit of an intimidating undertaking for me as I had never actually built a big aviary in PZ before, but I figured I had reached the point where I was confident enough with my building skills to give it a go. And whaddayaknow, about two hours and 900 pieces later I had the exterior of the aviary up to an acceptable standard:

After another two hours of landscaping and foliage work, the aviary was complete! I really like how it turned out.

It's also been a very long time since I've had peafowl in a zoo of mine (I list them in most of my zoo plans, but this is the first time in years where I've kept up with a zoo long enough to actually get to build for them), and I forgot how awesome they are! Looking forward to being able to chill in this enclosure and just watch the birds do their thing while on breaks from building.

Yes I did. I was inspired by one Lider made in his Polish farmyard and I’ve been using it a lot in various ways.
I tried to find the pieces you used, but were not successful. Can you give me a hint?

So, worked on two different zoos this weekend. Anyone who gets why I named my aquatic zoo "Roberts" needs to be my friend.
Very old canadian adventure series...

EDIT: Hit Send accidentally too fast. Entry of aquatic zoo now up.

I don't get it, but if you had name your aquatic zoo something along the lines of John, Paul, Ringo, or George, I would've thought that THAT was the best reference
