What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

Built the first couple habitats for Kodiak Park.

First, a caribou enclosure right outside of the entrance plaza building.

Tucked away in the forest behind the habitat is a quick animal center, holding the keeper hut and research center.

Right across from the reindeer is future holding area for the North American Porcupine. Since this is franchise mode and we need money, it holds a striped skunk. As a side note, I really hope we get mesh pieces that are easier to use.

Over the past two days, I finally got around to building the sun bear habitat, something I've been particularly excited for since I first started the South-east Asia area of Stringybark Zoo. This might actually be the longest time I've spent on a single habitat in the zoo so far, but I had to put in the effort for my favourite carnivoran!

The large shelter building on the right side of the habitat is also going to be used for the adjoining Sumatran tiger habitat, with the two enclosures together forming a "large carnivore complex" within the South-east Asia area. Lore-wise, these two habitats are going to be the most expensive in Stringybark Zoo and the main reason the South-east Asia section was built in the first place (in order to accommodate the new sun bears, both of which are rescue animals from Cambodia).

I recently started Jade Peaks Zoo, in which I'm planning on doing smaller themed sections for each of the continents (minus Antarctica), with four to six habitat animals per section. I decided to start with the Asia section, and I kicked it off with the Babirusa. I used a lot of the Indonesian building pieces in this one, especially for the viewing area and staff entrance building.

I decided to revisit my tropical zoo Yuma yesterday. Which meant, first of all I had to look what made me abondon it. As always, it was some habitats that didn't look good to me, so I demolished the Siamang / Orang habitat and the ASCO / Binturong habitat. I then build a Babirusa habitat which I'm very pleased with and started a Fossa habitat to delete it again and start anew.

Here's the Babirusa habitat:

I was today years old when I realized something super cool that I actually was wanting and planned to make myself:

Look closely, y'all, at the words underneath the Latin name. Notice something? Those are the PlanCo common names for the animals. I had no idea these were included in the game, likely when the custom billboards came out 2 years ago. Not much, but I thought it was cool to see
