What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

Finally finished all the box ac units of the ac blueprints and back to vents duty again but for interiors this time. So far this is proving to be far more difficult as working with smaller pieces and trying to make vents and indoor ac units with little to no pieces sticking out the back is a challenge. I guess the good news is that a very large blueprint for indoors will bring the megapack to over 300 total items which was my personal goal.

The square air vents with the overlapping pattern on a flat surface is one of the annoying kind of designs these indoor vents have.

I hope you considered that someone has to load that blueprint in :D

lol I know that, it's not one blueprint. The mega pack is the name of the 7 blueprints, with the exterior vents being the largest at 95 items. All under the 4000 piece limit of placeable blueprints. On the other hand, the requested Houston zoo entrance blueprint had to be made a habitat at an insane 27,000 pieces. My computer lags so much trying to place it so rip those with laptops.

Currently in the process to form all the stand alone things ive build over the last while into an actual park.
Found this really vibey vista in my entrance area :)
While i was at it had the idea of including one of those pideon tower things on the till them empty lawn opposite to what will become the petting zoo are and its fit so well in this setting

Since Ovonia Park only houses oviparous animals, I wanted to finish the park with something special, so I added a small hatchery building where guests can see some of the eggs of the animals in the park. The design of the egg incubators is pretty simple because I'm not good at building detailed realistic things. There are a couple of terrariums too.

Now I just need to add the final touches here and there and the park will be complete, as no more animals will be added.

Still WIP, but the exhibit of the Nile lechwes seems to be the first one which will be complete in our zoo! From the outside, the guests can view the exhibit from the front only. In the middle the viewing point is covered by a roof, which is part of the Giraffe barn, but on the sides of it the guests also have good view on the Nile lechwes.

Zoo keepers/vet can enter the exhibit both via the stables as via the exhibit. Still working on both of them. Especially the stables will take some work. As you can see the keepers/vet have direct view from their working area into the stables, but I want to shield of the first part (till the pilars) from the stables, so there is some barrier between them.

I'm not done with my blueprints yet! The next megapack will truly be mega sized with tons of different blueprints for everything backstage. First progress in this new realistic scenery pack is generators, these will be highly detailed like my air conditioning set with proper switches, handles, door frames, exhausts and more all present. Featured here is a small generator, a replica of one of the small cat generators found across canadian zoos.

How much time I save: 📉
How much my game is gonna slow down: 📈

No but seriously I found your packs a couple days ago and I’m amazed, great work cap!

Ooh I don't visit this thread a lot, it seems I'm missing out. Definitely stealing this idea !

Haha I wanted to comment is this Planet Zoo or City Skylines I'm looking at?

Sometimes I really wish they would make a game with multiple games within. So a city builder, but where you can build zoos and rollercoaster parks in detail like Planet Zoo/Planet Coaster.

Planet City coming?? 👀😂
I'm not even making a city 🤣
But I am making something that's not exactly just a zoo...

Another adventure comes to an end. Ovonia Park is now fully finished! The park has 56 different species, all of them being oviparous animals. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did, and thank you all for your support while I was working on this project. The park is available on the workshop: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3195796852

But the end of an adventure is the beginning of a new adventure...

So today's goal was to find a large generator that can hopefully hide the transformer building and well I failed. I hate how big some of these facilties are, maybe I'll try find an even bigger industrial sized one that can hide it in. Apart from that, making exact replicas of several generator manufacturers will make this blueprint a whole lot more colorful than gray, gray and even more gray that we saw in the air conditioning units. Currently a selection of yellow, white, dark gray and beige generators are built.
