What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

Next to the binturongs in my city zoo you can find cassowaries. They have an old habitat with two sides and a shelter in the middle. Probably in the old days each side used to house a different species, but now the cassowaries have access to both of them.

Danger noodles in progress 🐍 These are actually pretty low in piece count, ranging from 40-90 pieces per snake which is great for custom built exhibits. On show is a 0.75 metre snake, a 1.5 metre snake and a 2 metre snake based on the existing snakes we already have ingame. Snakes like the anaconda and reticulated python will have to be custom built for each snake since the size of those is much larger than the majority of the selection of 60+ snakes I have chose to make.

Since the bremerhaven zoo was what inspired this project i though it would be cool to include this cities most iconic landmark: the old lighthouse.
One of the coolest things to include in a zoo in my opinion is a big landmark that you can see from alot of places in the zoo and gives alot of cool sightlines

Been working on this area for the last few days. This is on the island that the boat tour goes around. Originally there was going to be no guest access to the island. I wanted some of the species to only be viewable via the boats but the donations weren’t flowing so I had to change course. This area used to just be staff facilities. It is now home to a bunch of new features. Starting the area off just over the bridge from the mainland, we have a viewing area for the African elephants, African Buffalo, bongo, and common warthog. They were previously only viewable via boat tour. As you continue on, you’re greeted by the sounds of water with the new otter fountain plaza centerpiece. Next up we have the brand new restaurant, Canopy Café. I still have tons of detailing to do on the interior and a little bit more for the exterior. Continuing around the plaza fountain you’ll make your way past the areas crown jewel, a multi tiered, multi species habitat featuring binturong, proboscis monkey, and Asian small clawed otter. The habitat features 3 pools with underwater viewing galleries, 2 of which are viewable only on the boat tour, and 4 viewing areas overall. Foliage is still a work in progress.

When the diorama mode first came out i thought its something i will never use. Well look at me now, thanking it for making coastal zoos possible lol :D
Mostly been working on the layout of the whole area, which i pretty much just copied from the real world inspiration because i have no clue how harbours work. The big buidling is what eventually will be the Aquarium+tropicalhouse and the area marked with sand in the middle will be where the rest of the zoo will be. Depending on how it goes im thinking of making the sand area in the back some sort of expansion area, which in lore i imagine the zoo would have aquired in the recent past to be able to keep some larger animals aswell

Also made this shrimp trawler with way to many pieces for something you will ever only see from afar
