What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

My small caribbean village starts growing, but still a lot of work to do, like you can see at the house on the left. As an eyecatcher theres a galapagos tortoise enclosure in the background right next to the sea.

This is the start of a tapir's trail. Well, it's more like a short walk but whatever. :p I saw this nice trick on Reddit the other day, how to make pretty slopes with a path and it works so well. I've been using it all around the zoo ever since. I have a hard time with terrain in this game and this trick really helps with creating more natural looking slopes and elevations.
What is this trick? Because whenever I hear about some tip or trick I love to experiment, and if it's good I end up using it.

Nice habitats. I really need more skills in this game

Instead of using the terrain editor to create a slope, what you do is place one section of path at the top of the raised terrain, and another section at the bottom, and then in the options choose "flatten terrain", and then connect them. It creates a perfectly smooth transition between the two. Extremely useful trick. Just make sure to turn off "flatten terrain" again afterwards because it can cause problems with pathing in other areas.

I've built a meerkat/aardvark habitat but I'm thinking of expanding the area to include fennec foxes, so I won't share it yet, but in the meantime here's something else I did today that I'm quite pleased with. It's a sun bear/binturong habitat. I still need to finish the guest area and put a roof on the backstage, but otherwise...

I renovated the polar bear habitat of one of my zoos. I used the space that I removed form the original habitat to create a second backstage habitat for polar bears. Now that we can add more trees, the habitats don't look so bare anymore. And gosh, those diving animations are freaking cool!

How often do they dive in your Zoo? Yesterday I've looked at the Polar Bear in my Marine Park and he did only dive 2-3 times and only a few Centimeters below the Surface for a few Seconds

Wow, how did you do this? This is one of the most amazing Enclosures I've ever seen in Planet Zoo

Thanks Urufu for your kind words.

I don't know, but I've spent a lot of time on Google Maps looking at zoos - on a daily basis (checking pics peeps have uploaded - that's a feature of GMaps) - and I try to recreate what I see: most of the times, enclosures are just bare bones, and unless you protect the foliage, animals tend to destroy everything.

As promised i did my work and finished the threeway part of my southamerica section, leaving only decorating the rest of my tunnel and building a field like exhibits for lamas and imaginary maras in front of it.
Im personally really happy how it turned out, and i hope you will also like the pictures!
First a little overview over the Area. It starts behind the overground habitat for the capuchinmonkeys and curves around a habitat for giant anteaters into the secound entrance to the tunnel. It also features a little hut with shops, a little fake but fully functional exhibit for a small aboreal critter (maybe sloths, maye birds, something small) and an aviary style habitat for Jaguars.

Now I finally saw it. Love it! What an awesome work on the moat. I struggle with these kind of things.

I was working on a penguin enclosure for ages. I decided eventually that I would have to have the water as if it was in the process of being emptied for cleaning as I could only get it half full in the underwater viewing area. That's when I deleted it.

I'm pretty sure there are no Monitor Lizards in South America (if it isn't true, I would be happy if someone proves the Opposite). Maybe you could make it a implied Tegu Enclosure 😉
