What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

That looks very good!
If you'd accept some next-level nitpicking:
I guess the logs you placed around the trees are there to prevent the kangaroos from having access to the leaves or to potentially damage them. That's a nice touch of realism, but don't you think the logs are too low for that?

Oh right thats true, i should put them a bit higher, thx!

Made a new sign at the entrance of my africa area.

First draft of my new warthog habitat in my franchise zoo. I still have to add a lot of details. The building looks way to clean/boring so far.

Still not sure wether i should do it in my language german or english.

I just finished my most ambitious project: Boogaloo Zoo (aka the Build-It Zoo).

I hope y'all enjoy, because now imma take a break and I started a new zoo to see how realistic I can make it (almost finished the front entrance, with my zoo logo and also 2 paintings that my friend did for me, which I later imported into a digital format for the game).

And the custom music, loving it. I always felt like a zoo should have music that sounds either tropical, or like boss's nova, or Latin. Don't ask me why, it just matches, somehow. So, I used a Latin, instrumental version of Glow Worm

Gosh, Aramar i love your zoos.

Hm, I did nothing special. Made some fence blueprints and restarted my franchise (deleting all and put all animals in the "storage box"). I hope I have more time next weekend, then it goes on in "Wiesenthal"

Me? I just checked and I have about 20. I don't know if that is good or bad, but I don't have a supercomputer and I can play the zoo without problems. It's not that big. However, my Zarpa zoo, that's a big one where I'm starting to have some issues.
Its a good indicator to see how smooth the game is running.

The human eye can recognize 24 frames per second. The eye doesnt recognize anything above, but a game with more fps feels way more smooth. This is an very important topic in first person shooters.

20 fps is ok, but when you get near 10 youll recognize lags and the game gets nearly unplayable. Havent gone that far in PZ yet (my biggest zoo has still around 25-30 fps), but one of my theme parks in PC is just running with 5-8 fps. Its a nightmare to see or even play or build sth. in it.

Today i finished off my roos and picked up the work imidiatly after a little brainstorming session.
I decided to continue on the giraffe hill with another old building, in this case the old apehouse, that got renovated and repurposed as a small tropical house with pangolins, komododragons and atleast 2 implied exhibits, for what exactly im not really sure by now.
In the front of the building stands a statue to honor the gorillas that previously lived here, including a sign explaining the history of the building and the gorilla breeding program in the zoo, before they had to gave them away due to them not being able to provide enough space for them acording to animal welfare.

I might also include a third habitat animal in there, but im not sure which one, as i didnt get to many tropical ones and having other plans for the capuchin monkeys.

Today I built a little South African fisherman's village next to the African penguin habitat to increase the immersion.
I based the building on the Dutch Cape architecture which is mostly found in the Western Cape province where also Boulder's Beach is located.
I made my version more rundown to give it a nice abandoned look.

Here's one of the reference pictures I used:

Its two terrariums (fake ones obviously) that i build today + the planting next to them. I used the glas pieces, that gave me a really great look with the normal limestone and some colored concrete for the backwall.
While no one has suggested exhibits in particular, i just feel like they belong into every zoo, especally into tropical houses.
I choose the reticulated python and the banded bullfrog. The largest living snake just felt like a good fit to live next to the largest living lizard, while i just like frogs, frogs are cute and these beautiful anteaters just really tickled my fancy, especally as they would be more easily visable then my personal favourite frog, the vitnamese mossfrog.

View into the froggos, i tried to use alot of wood and different plants, aswell as different elevations to make the terrariums look unique from the pythons, and i think i succeeded.

The python has a lot more verticality in the habitat, with big fake logs for them to climb around. Both habitats also have a little pool of water, ready for any wish for splashing.
Also, the info board might be a bit overkill, but lets be honest, you can never know enough about the world largest snake ;)

Ok, it's not a true mod, but if you go to the website for PZ mods, look up my name (DarthQuell) and you'll find a file with music, perfect for using in your zoos. I wanted to share something, and I hope y'all like it
