I started working on this new trail in Tharmachati called "Journey of the Moon Bear". The idea is that the area was originally intended for giant pandas but the zoo didn't up getting them, so they went for their backup the moon bears.
It's meant as a kind of thematic kid story where you follow a moon bear that travels downwards from the Himalayas for winter, only to travel too far and ends up meeting all kinds of animals. The idea would be that each animal and each place he visits would not be the right place for him to sleep. Like the water buffalo exhibit would be "too wet for me to sleep" or the clouded leopard exhibit would be "too hot for me too sleep". Stuff like that, to at the end of the journey end at the perfect habitat with the moon bears in them.
This is such a cute idea!
Here you go, a picture of the new Orangutan habitat -- I also added more climbing space and some tile shade after taking the picture (dead trees by
@cesar creates)
That looks great! I'm not the best with heights and different levels and always look for good examples - your habitat is one, it really makes a difference!
Speaking of: You know why I rarely have Ringtailed Lemurs in-game? I LOVE them IRL, but these buggers break out EVERYWHERE in Planet Zoo. I had to add these three metal beams on the ground to every mesh piece (before there was just one on the edge on the ground) because they simply walked through the mesh piece otherwise. WHY?!
I really like your lemur habitat, and especially the fence, although it was made out of despair
I enjoyed playing in my new zoo a lot, the change of biome gave me so much motivation! I initially didn't want to add exhibit animals here, but even though I could use some money and conservation credits from the old zoo, I decided I needed a cash machine

So I went on to make a desert-styled exhibit house with six exhibits. There is also a little garden overseeing a pond, and two more exhibits. The idea is to fill them with terrapins and the newt, once we get that, so that we have a kind of fire (cause.. dry and desert) vs. water theme.
Guests love it, too - a little bit too much of course, because the path which was a pain to build causes them to get stuck
Everyone was unhappy, so I continued to layout my entrance and a food court, which I might finish tomorrow. I think as soon as there are more places to go, they won't ALL go to the exhibits.
