What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

I mean, there is no argument. At all. Frontier said in a recent interview that they're never going to change the iguanas, so any point to the contrary is just pointless blustering.
Sadly true, but in the end i got asked what i would do to fix the system and i truthfully answerd that, including that i would mske oguanas habitat animals. I know they wont do it, but imo because of things like tropical halls, diversity and south american representation it would be really nice if they wernt limited to the one mechanic in the game that sucks the creativity out if it exclusivky when they could work as a normal animal.

Disagree but you're entitled to your opinion. Like I've said before, building a realistic habitat for an iguana would not be fun. Building tiny habitats is already painful and iguanas just don't need much space (dwarf caiman is a good example, and Nile monitor - super hard to get water into a sufficiently small space).

My Sun Bear & Binturong Enclosure is done! (Well, except for the indoor part...)
And my computer has, as of yesterday, started to lag so unbearably that I'm worried I won't be able to continue the zoo for too much longer :(
It's quite piece-heavy so far, but I really hoped it would have worked out a little longer. Might have to delete something or at least close the zoo temporarily rather than allowing 500 guests.

I started to tear down the monkey house from one of my older zoos after a long time

As the old (although quite modern, as it was built in 2020) ape house doesn't fulfill the requirements anymore, it was time to tear it down.

The new space will be used for new big cat habitats in the future (while a new ape house will be rebuilt in the new zoo area in the background).

Sometimes you just have to accept that the game won't obey you.
I can't flatten this terrain because of the raised path above. I could probably get rid of it by deleting the path, flatten the area, and place the path again.
Instead I went with some creative problem solving and made a pile of sand. Even though it might not be that useful in a desert zoo...

Let's add to your creativity: it's imported from Madagascar or Fiji

I try since yesterday to build a clouded leopard habitat. And I fail and fail and fail and am super frustrated by now.
I know the feeling >.<

Did you already look for RL pics to find some inspiration? Maybe that helps or like DarthQuell suggested go for something else first and go back to this one later, that useually helps me when it comes to art so worth a shot here, too.

Aww, no, Swjos.

Why don't you try another animal? What exactly are you looking for?
No real idea for another, other than a viewing platform for cranes but no habitat idea.
I know the feeling >.<

I did try that, but all I found were aviaries and with those huuuge, tall climbing structures you need in a habitat they always look way too high.

Hmm, what to do. Hmm...

Ah, got it: how about, in the lore, the deal to acquire the elusive clouded leopard didn't word out, so the zoo received some equally rare sun bears as a compromise

If aviaries seem to high maybe go for a tropical dome like building instead? With a bunch of overpasses and mesh covered guest paths leading through it among other barriers to keep the cats from getting to said paths. Think that could work out pretty well, too.

Or a greenhouse/pyramid thing?

Thanks for your help, guys ❤️
Unfortunately I'm attempting more of a fallen ruin and jungle vibe in this section. Was trying a habitat with a moat but feel like visitors should come closer to such a small cat.
Thinking about going the non-realism way and just leave the top open. Don't know. IRL there seem to always be a closed top...

Yeah sadly the game doesn't really have a good mechanism for building a realistic covered habitat. However, you could look at a covered IRL habitat for insipiration and just not build the roof!

Mhm, that's probably what I will do. Do you have any idea why habitats are always covered for them? Wouldn't hot wire on top of the barrier do the trick?
