What do you miss from Alpha/Beta?

Yes good ol Lp 98-132. Has a special place in my heart. All the crazy pew pew and no combat logging. Those were the days...
And I miss my human kill counter in stats. Why did they ever remove it :(

I don't miss anything from Beta or before. I like what we have now far more and there is so much more to come.

The old trading system with niche economies and more reactive prices.
The variation in environments that we got to see in the Beta 1 bubble (even the systems we had there are now bland and generic... no more interesting Hermitage, no more different Chango, now it's just the same).

I miss the different weapon types (overload, low heat, etc) and having better sight ranges to have less pop up for those of us with good systems.

"Playability trumps realism" Michael Brookes once told me while trying to justify killing off smuggling. Well apparently brain dead play and boredom trumps all and challenge is useless.

I miss the game I thought ED would be, but it is ok in a way because the original Elite is almost it and I can still play that.
ED is, at the moment, a living demonstration of what i truly believe it tried not to be.
