What oddball unlikely animal do you want in the game?

Everyone has a favorite, some are more niche than others. Inspired by @Teclisrex and a discussion about iberian pigs, I wanted to ask everyone:

What niche and unlikely animal do you hope would get into the game some day?

And what kind of packs, if any, could contain your niche favorites?

After just learning a good bit about them in the last 30 mins, id love the eastern common walleroo.
An animal that starts spreading across the EAZA in the last decade, between the red necked wallaby and the red kangaroo in size and the potential to be as diverse in colors as the red fox with large gender dimorphism.
Id love to get these guys

I'd choose two animals that are also on my meta wishlist and those are the Javan banteng and the Javan lutung. Both are beautiful and endangered species which would complete the South East Asian roster for me. Unfortunately both are very low in the meta wishlist which is a little bit suprising for me. Both species are very colourful with interesting sexual dimorphism (or two completely different colours not related to the genders in case of the langurs).
The lutung would be our second langur (counting the proboscis monkey) and imo it would be the best choice for a langur as it it's the langur species with the most holdings in the EAZA. According to the meta wishlist more people would like to see the hanuman langur, so I don't think the Javan lutung will make it in.
Since we got the wild Asian water buffalo, I also think that it's unfortunately unlikely for the banteng to get added to the game.

EDIT:

Vulturine Guinea Fowl:

I would gladly pay the full DLC price for a trio of guinea fowls: Vulturine Guineafowl, Helmeted Guineafowl, and Crested Guineafowl.
But choosing only one, I would probably go with the beautiful vulturine.

They should have been the real stars of the Grassland Pack like they were the real stars of the Lion King:

A wonderful choice - probably my favoured option for a guineafowl. The biggest of the guineafowl species, and living in societies so complex that they were originally thought to be limited to large-brained mammals like elephants, dolphins and primates.

My usual response to this would be the greater bilby, but given I've talked about them here numerous times before I thought I'd go with another Australian animal that's been rising on my personal wishlist recently - the magpie goose.

We don't have any waterfowl in the game yet, and this is a particularly special species - it's the only living member of the family Anseranatidae, which split off from all other birds around the time the non-avian dinosaurs went extinct and was widespread across the world in the early Cenozoic. Found in northern Australia and southern New Guinea, a region with few species in the game thus far, the magpie goose is downright essential for representing the tropical monsoonal floodplains that typify this part of the world, being arguably as iconic to the region as the saltwater crocodile. It's also not that uncommon in zoos outside of Australia, with 35 holdings in the EAZA and, from what I can see, a decent presence in American zoos as well.

Unfortunately, sitting at the 329th place on the forum metawishlist, its chances of being added are extraordinarily slim. The pack that would probably have been best suited to contain it, the Wetlands Animal Pack, has also already come to pass, with perhaps its only remaining chance being an oddball inclusion in a dedicated Avian Animal Pack.

a good discussion. I am insistent because I think it is necessary to give more love to the Mediterranean area. European wild boar and Iberian pig. And...Iberian lynx?

All beautiful and all endangered - it would be amazing if they could be added into the game coz mods are good but never as good as the official animals.

There is still a very small chance for them since Frontier showed this year that they like to add less popular species to the roster (Nile lechwe, water buffalo, Spectacled Caiman, skunk, Striped hyena, Blue wildebeast).

I wouldn't call the addax an oddball. I can see it being added in the game in a future pack.

At this point, for me, is any bird that is not a ratite lol

But for real, the one i don't see showing up, or it would at least pleasantly surprise me if it does, is the golden snub nosed monkey (and maybe the blackbuck, which i feel it lost its chance after not being included in the grasslands pack). I think the rest of my top 25 wishlist of animals have a fair chance of being added.

If they would ever made a drylands/deserts pack with Porcupine, Dromedary and baboon but who knows 🤷🏽

The addax is very likely, the macaque maybe, but yea the donkey and deer I don't see them making it into the game.

The European Bison and Scottish Highland Cattle are two species that I don’t see much love for. I think the Bison definitely has a higher chance of getting in, but people do still tend to put it aside. To get both these animals in game would be a dream come true for me! These two plus the Eurasian Brown Bear would be great for European choice and representation.
