Hm, a tiny minimal effort - maximum outcome Detail?
My vote would be on : The dreaded "Everything starts spawning from scratch when Player enters SuperCruise/arrives in System" Syndrome.
What I'd like to see, if there's no Island Merge to an already active Instance :
- Client quickly generates a random, but fully developed SuperCruise Traffic picture
- Traffic based on basic System Data (Faction States & Population)
-> Player sees a fully developed Traffic picture immedaitely, anytime when entering SC or arriving in an inhabited System
Voila :
- no more "oh, traffic.... I'm not alone for once"
-> instead, it's more-or-less busy Systems wherever inhabited you go.
-> Big, High-Pop Systems have alot of Traffic, tiny Low-Pop Systems have fairly little
-> Systems at Conflict have plenty of System Defense Force Ships checking out passing Traffic, Outbreaks/Famine have Med/Food Convoys and more rundown Ships
-> improves overall experience and "lifelike Universe" in all Game Modes and for all Players (no more "where did everybody go?!" moments anymore after quickly leaving and re-entering SC, no more clear & scripted spawn-obviousness)
-> also gives a more realistic picture of what the System is experiencing (Maia after increased Alien presence? Tons of Federal Military Supply Ships and Combat Convoys everywhere in SuperCruise I guess, plus a bunch of scared NPCs)
I'd really like to see that and it really shouldn't be difficult to do.
