Why Frontier are wrong to keep nerfing high credit earning methods.

No, Ant is listening to a vocal minority who don't actually want to play Elite. They want a different game entirely.

With all due respect, lets be real....google Elite dangerous credit grind....aside from a smattering of folks in this forum there is no one supporting the nerfs. OA has 115k subscribers, Yamiks 35k, Down to Earth 14k. Yesterday's Live stream with Yamiks had a ton of people! The ED community wants better rewards, and they are NOT the minority! The true minority are those in favor of the nerf's. They are the squeaky wheel, albeit the small one, so they get the grease!

Funny that, because unless I'm wrong I've been employed within the industry for some time now.

And no I will not say where so you can stalk me down and cause trouble for me there.

It is nice not to have to be the moderator for a change and say what I think, that is true.

If you think I don't know how to differenciate personal and gaming characters, or when to stop a discussion you haven't read any of my posts. I don't wish you any personal harm, and at the same time if you want me to be honest with you I don't trust you, anyway, what you are or what I think is not relevant or important.

My skimmers back is what it matters, and if they come without any reward I don't care, because shooting them is what is fun, isn't it?

Not to mention people have to farm all the materials now and have little time to earn credits at the same time. Players can't tear themselves in parts to get all of it done. And it's actually worse for long-time players, because they have a couple of ships to tend to.

This basically ^

Credits is just another box that needs ticked and with so many boxes needing ticked...?

Ive been here two years and Ive explored...lived in colonia, raced slf in canyons around Sag A...Ive played this game and yet I could sell everything I have and still not hit a billion and engineer even less. So if I keep playing the way others tell me I should be playing, the best of the best toys will remain a pipe dream basically. The credits dont magically appear or fall from trees like some would have ye believe...certainly not the amounts needed to afford A rated cutters and condas thats fer sure.

Although using exploits...thats moving the goalposts. In light of the sheer amount of grind ahead, and in terms of actual time, its a considerable amount to say the least...then how I make the credits becomes less of a concern. Like I say...credits are just another box to be ticked but the problem is that none of the other boxes get ticked until the credit box is ticked. Which translates roughly into I dont care if its an exploit or not...if it gets the box ticked then its one less thing to worry about. Credits are simply not the only form of grind in elite after all.

But as fer just playing the game the way its intended...the game intended fer us to choose our own path...which is a contradiction of the first statement. They cant both be right and if they are, kindly explain the logic that makes both ways right at the same time ^

That's why we're still enjoying the game after these years

If we has everything in the first 6 weeks we would have moved on long ago.

It's only a grind if you make it one, I made my Federation ranks gradually as I was playing the game normally, I raised my credits doing carried activities (not just repeating the same skimmer kill mission, scanning the same data point in Quince or staring at SC screen flying to Smeaton Orbital)

The only bandwagon I got on was the Robigo Smuggling missions, but these were epic fun and you could lose it all with one scan there was genuine risk to the reward and it was only circa 15-20/hour not like these latest trends.

More of that please and I'll keep coming back for years to come.

Shut up, you aren't even Forum Elite yet. ;) :D

it doesnt take a newcommer long to see a pattern on these forums , almost everyone who approves of these nerfs has the "elite" tag next to thier name. pretty much pointing to the fact they have been doing the forum puritanical war against anything that might speed up progress in game for new players for quite some time.

lets all take a moment to reflect on how lucky we are that these long time "pro's" are around to make sure we all have to endure the full asain style grind fest to its maximum just so we can be as rightous and pure as them when/if we get to a point where we have nice things to enjoy the game.

That makes you pretty ignorant of the facts then. "Progress" in the game is already stupidly fast anyway. And my main ship is a DBX and at times I fly a Cobra which you can get in an afternoon these days. After that progressions stops and it's all about choices.

As to the asian style grind, I am having trouble finding any of that. The only time you get it, is when you impose it on yourself.

So you really think moving forward, shoot, backwards, forward, shoot, backwards, forward, shoot, backwards, and repeat is fun and enjoyable? actually, isn't that who you can play call of duty (forward, shoot, backward to recover health.. ) ??

Actually, it was great fun! The way those skimmer popped sympathetically had me giggling like a teenage girl. It was great. I hope they bring it back again.

who am i to judge what anyone should or shouldnt find fun. thats subjective and down to the individual is it not.. but clearly you have some defined answers so why not enlighten us all?

Lol. You can get materials while earning credits. It is pretty easy.

And they will do and it will be just as much fun regardless of the credit reward.

You are judging quite a lot for someone who says who am I to judge.

again you use the word "facts" as if your opinion of how fast or slow progress is is indeed fact.. that the problem you guys have. its arrogant and displays overly inflated ego to assume cos you think progress is fast enough it becomes a fact

Like the cheapest freenet bot, answering a question with another question. Would you just answer for yourself and stop pretending to make generalised statements copied from google images, please? do you find it fun?

i,m judging nothing and simply making the point that in a subjective arguement about opinions having the "elite" label next to your name doesnt entitle you to elevate your opinions to the status of "facts" which i see all over this thread and indeed any thread where the "elite" grade forum spanish inquisition come marching out to burn down the herectics who dont mind making money faster

You were the one using the word fact, not me.

And as to "progress" in the game, it is far faster these days. It took me three months to go from sidewinder to Cobra, when these days it can be done in a few hours. That sir is a fact whether you like it or not. Whether it is fast enough is down to the individual. Personally I think it is.

Nobody expects the spanish inquisition.
