I fly primarily in Open, and
I find GSPies tedious. They aren't a threat, just an annoying interruption to my game. In fact, they are
so non-threatening to me, I'm willing to low wake, just to see how long it takes for them to figure this fact out. As an added bonus, if they're chasing me, then they're not bothering anyone else. Record was seven before
I tired of the game, and sent "You are aware I'm willing to do this all the way to the station, aren't you?" There wasn't an eighth attempt.
I only fly in Open for the adrenaline rush, seeing other commanders, and the dim hope of having a fun encounter a
proper PvP pirate. Thankfully, I start work at 5am and work weekends, so a GSPie attack is thankfully rare. Unfortunately, that means that players in
general are rare.
It is that lack of threat to the overall Open population that has the GSPie crowd generating so much salt. It's hard to believe that you are a PvP god when you can't kill a trader or passenger ship, and you run and hide from combat ships. It's also why these players are using Solo players being able to influence the BGS as their current casus belli. They can't kill PvE players who
choose to play in Open for the adrenaline rush, because they're ready for them. They can't kill
actual PvPers either, and will log out the
instant someone tries to interdict them. They can't attract more players with their
charming personalities. So all they're left with is either bribing people into Open, or asking Frontier to mutilate their own game to force those "evil" PvEers into Open if they want to fully enjoy the game they bought.
