Both PC and Xbox owners who bought the Horizons expansions as a pre-order got the Cobra MkIV
Of all the forums and threads transferred over, I am surprised that this one didn't get transferred to the Trolling forum given the lack of official recognition in recent months / years from Frontier.
It possibly gives us some hope that PS4 commanders wanting a Cobra MkIV haven't been forgotten.

Maybe it's due in one of the minor updates before 2020?
You know so PS4 CMDRs get parity with PC, just as FDev said parity was important for Xbox CMDRs, hence them being allowed the Cobra MK4.
Afterall they are investigating this for us

The ship is mostly pointless. And locked so it does not bother anyone. I propose: add it to the Frontier Store for few bucks inherit Cobra Mk III speed bonus (that way it will be still somewhat slower than Mk III due to increased weight)

Yes please, us PS4 users never got a chance to get this like PC or Xbox users did. It should have been our pre-order bonus.
Totally accept my PC account should not get it, as I missed the boat, the PS4 has mitigating circumstances as we couldn't even buy tickets for the boat.
So with Lloyd now working on Planet Coaster is there anybody working on ED PS4 that can give us an update on this please?
We are one week out from the 2nd Birthday for PS4 Commanders.
The first pilots launched from dock on the 27th June 2017.
It would be nice for this milestone to be acknowledged by Frontier allowing the Cobra MkIV to be bought by the PS4 community.
It was a request that was conveniently dropped from discussion at launch.
It would be a nice gesture by Frontier / Will / Paige to give us a chance to fly the 'missing' ship.

To be honest, i am not bothered if PS never gets the Cobra Mk4, sure i would like to fly one, but meh. I understand some people really want one, and it is harsh, but it aint going to happen.
And the Mk 3 it cooler anyway imo

Nope, and there hasn't been for a long, long time....
I still think it won't be purchasable on ps4 until the next paid content is up for preorder.

PC Commanders who ordered Horizons as soon as it was available were given a Cobra MkIV.
Xbox Commanders who ordered Horizons as soon as it was available were given a Cobra MkIV
PS4 Commanders who ordered the game (with Horizons) as soon as it was available were given a Gold paint job for a sidewinder (which they had likely moved on from within a week, if that).
It would not be unreasonable to offer the Cobra MkIV to PS4 players who purchased the game with Horizons in the first month or first two months of launch?
Witrh the extra slot now in ships. the Cobra MKIV is even more desirable as a mini Python

I am still returning from Beagle Point unfortunately. I have taken a bit of a detour so haven't made it back yet. Currently sat 51kly from Shinrata Deshra so unlikely to complete the journey by next week.
