I just bought the Orca, it handles really well and gives an incredible view from the cockpit. The DBX is my smuggler, it's so grungy and steampunk. It could easily be your step up from the sidey. My fave ship by far is the Python.

im not really a fan of the big ships, they look really annoying to dock with. and also the aspx just looks like a miniature thargoid with gland problems

the mk1 - mk3 cobras were in elite 1 and 2, and the mk4 was in elite 2 frontier first encounter i think, not 100% sure though

You will get a Gold Sidewinder which is 10x more fabulous. There has been no mention of a Cobra Mk IV, which at this stage of the game I would say is a no, but I'm ready to be leaped upon by far more knowledgeable people than myself.
i suppose it depends on how many pre-orders they get as to weather they need to add an extra incentive like a limited cobra mk4 or "possibly" another exclusive ship for ps4 only. but what would i know, i just sit here painting my nails waiting for 27/6

Don't believe the jaded views from folks who've spent too much time flying Corvettes and FDL's, the mkIV is a cracking ship in it's own right. I really hope you Playstation guys get hold of it. I was gutted when I moved to PC after having a MkIV for quite a while on the Xbox, that it wasn't available...since I didn't buy Horizons on PC early enough although I did on the Xbox.
Just think, if you guys get it...it'll certainly put the cat among the pigeons for the Xbox and us PC guys [yesnod]

In the first Elite in 1984 there were ships like the 'fat bottomed' Boa, end the nifty little Krait. Maybe these ships will appear in the ED universe. The krait was know for being able to enter atmospheres and was even submersible. So maybe in future updates it will appear as a ship to do those things we can't do at the moment.
as i have said on another thread, the krait was not a submersible, it was the moray starboat that was submersible. the krait was a flying piece of junk that cheap pirates bought
