Will there be additional bug fix patches between update 5 and console release?

My personal read is that they're done for now. Which would make sense. They have a deadline to meet for console release, they can't be putting together these patches for us and make that deadline at the same time

If someone delivers a defective product, he has the opportunity to improve it. If this does not succeed in a reasonable time, then we will refund. That's how it works in Germany. If the product is knowingly sold incorrectly, this is fraud.

Possibly BlackMaze has earned a Yamiks status now (undeserved imho to clarify, I really like his show!) and CM refrain from commenting for that reason.
Possibly they just simply don't know.
Possibly they know but know they can't tell us because the outcome would be assumed to be too disastrous in regards of losing players.
In any case this question certainly deserves to be answered.

Well... If this morning's patch is anything to go by... At least we'll be seeing more fixes coming?

There are still a large number of issues on the issue tracker that are confirmed by lots of commanders that don't have the little 'acknowledged' badge for weeks, that concerns me but I'm hoping for the best.

The radio silence and lack of clarity on the matter of what to expect in the coming months remains unfortunate but it is what it is. I did ask the same question on today's Supercruise News stream but my question wasn't picked up, unfortunately.

Don't get me wrong, I think and believe they know they really need to tackle the issues (e.g. support missions).
And they know it. And they will.
In which time frames 🤷‍♂️ 🥴 😬
Would really be so good to have a CM jumping in here and give players some confidence.

I missed this.

Do I revise my statement and will say - yes they continue to work on the issues.
I don't think we will see huge changes on the actual engines or in regards of new content prior console launch though.

I can't either. Because if it is, then it is my sage prediction that the console launch will be as successful as the maiden voyage of the Titanic.
I would guess the console release gets accompanied by a large update for PC.

PS
Which, obviously, will break other stuff.

I just scanned through today's stream, and around the 20-22min mark (already closed it oops) they did respond to a "what about update 6" question - with the answer being "no news right now, as soon as that changes we'll let you know" or along those lines. In other words, "don't hold your breath".

The evident awkwardness in Bruce's face when confirming that nothing has changed with regards to the consoles version schedule shortly after that... oof.

That's exactly what I'd look like if I had to tell somebody external to the company something that may not be 100% aligned with the internal plan.

So yeah... this is it, better get used to it (apart from server side updates given we had one today).

We need an official livestream stenographer who can type up anything like that in each stream and post it here. That way, we'd a) actually get some information here on the official forums and b) have a record of what was said that we could refer to in the future if needed.

Surely after five updates of "many improvements and fixes" there can't be that many bugs left, can there?
Well, update 5 pretty much broke restore/restart missions, where I get most of my Odyssey mats. There is a work around but it requires body’s on the ground that you can clone And they are not always there.

Edit: Teach me to post something before reading the whole thread. Now I have to go check to see if the patch “fixed” the missions.
