Winter 2023 DLC Speculation

Yeah, all those jaguars...like why?
I still have no clue they even mention in their zoopedia entries that yeah these are not actual recognised subspecies but they look different to us. At least with the lions and cougars they were at least at some point actual subspecies and I still have no idea why they were like all the antelopes are one group when just the panthera genus alone got tigers lion and jaguars the habitat animals were a mess most of the diversity in the game came from the smaller exhibits which I loved the range of animals they had.

The smaller exhibits were great. Still baffles me that they left out some key "habitat" animals though. Zebras? Gorillas? Camels? Bizarre.

Made a couple adjustments; I see something like the hyrax a lot more possible than another bird. Out of all the exhibit ideas, the frog is my fav. And I did the right thing and put the Gelada in, as it deserves, and honestly I prefer it over the hamadryas, although I might be alone on that one  I looked back at my spec. video and saw I put hamadryas over gelada, and I just- what was I thinking? 💀

I'm so sold on this idea. I've seen some pretty cool alternates but I cant let this one go. This literally has everything I need. I've set this as my desktop background, I've made countless posts on it, FRONTIER PLEASE I don't know what else to do to keep me sane :ROFLMAO:
Just switch the hyrax to Vicuña and I’m sold 🤩

So they could adverstise the game having 100+ animals even tho functionally it only had a fraction of that

Yeah the small exhibit roster is easily the best part of that game. Had alot of cool animals that you dont really see at zoo games like agoutis and birds

What about:
Freshwater Animal Pack
  • West Indian Manatee
  • Great White Pelican
  • Fishing Cat
  • Pere Davids Deer
  • Shoebill
  • Nile Crocodile
  • North American River Otter

Maybe not this winter, but something I’d love to see in summer 2024
Since weve gotten alot of "sequel" or "complimentary" packs recently i had the idea to follow up the wetlands animal pack with a swamp or freshwater pack for a while now.
Stuff like, marshdeer, collared mangabey, snapping turtles would fit that really well, with dingy wood, rotting logs, stilt houses as the scenery

More Sequel Packs:

Crepuscular Animal Pack
. White-tailed Deer
. Ocelot
. Black-footed Ferret
. Coquerel’s Sifaka
. Virginia Opossum
. South American Coati
. Black-backed Jackal
. Sugar Glider (WTE)

Swamp Pack
. Nile Crocodile
. Marsh Deer
. American River Otter
. Snapping Turtle
. Red-bellied Cooter (WTE)
swampish scenery, maybe with an airboat and some mossy stuff

The fact they left out the Giant Panda automatically made the game a failure for me. I mean I know in real life they're not that common in zoos and there's a number of things that must be done to get a pair from China. But this is a game, it's an iconic animal in terms of conservation and every zoo I know of that has them, it's one of their top marketed animals.

As for the various subspecies/subgroups it was laughable. Sure, I want a second giraffe and zebra. I don't need 10 of them though.

What made that game a failure for me is the creative aspect, or lack there of. Just plopping down premade habitats is just not what im looking for in a Zoogame. I dont wanna look at animals, i want to build for them.
Unfornunately i didnt look at gameplay before i bought it because i assume it would be an updated version of zoo tycoon 2. Well, lets just say i wasted 50€ that day :D

Pretty much my ideal islands pack here. Probably only would prefer the francois langur over the sifaka :)

I just got the worst haircut in my entire lifetime.

I look like a freakin naked mole rat. I gave that barber explicit instructions and he completely ruined it.

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
No, you gotta go to Bueno Nacho and eat their best selling dish: the Naco
