Winter DLC Speculation

I tried asking on reddit, and the results are pretty clear. The onlt surprising thing to me is the popularity of the aardwolf.

Reddit is simply a piece of sh*t ...like this crap china video platform or twitter.

Seriously...I don't give a f on others opionions 🙄...not a single bit. Especially if they go in this direction to declare another opinion as bad just of some biased . And I won't stop with that.

Then why are you on a forum where people discuss their opinions in a hopefully constructive way if you seem allergic to opinions that dont allign with yours?

But it's funny.....I try to think about possible ways to get maybe more than just one subspecies into the game (because I think that the devellopers maybe read some these threads)...but everything that comes back is literally "no, that's unrealistic", "no, I want something completely else", etc.....
And the "great" thing is, if the devellopers really read through these threads, all they see is that people don't want this or that animal instead of possibilities to add them maybe later with a fitting pack.🙄

Because I thought that it's possible to discuss ...or actually just accept other opinions...instead of talking down nearly every suggestion 🙄.
The only one who is always not accepting objective discussions is you. Really, nobody has said that you cannot wish for the Brown Hyena. There were always just comments about its likeliness because of popularity and holding numbers. When both numbers are extremely lower and in case of popularity even within two communities you could just accept this fact which does not mean that you cannot wish for the Brown Hyena. In my opinion these factors just make it more likely that Frontier will choose the other Hyena species (and again more likely means not impossible).

And this is perfectly okay. If you want a third brown bear subspecies other people can also say that they rather would like to see another bear species. Nobody made your opinion down. They just explained why they rather would like to see other species.

This wishlist basically just tells me that most of the people there seem to be extremely dumb.....There are so many extremely special species below rank 200 🙄. The wishlist is a bad joke. I mean, that an animal like the drill (a fascinating and highly endangered primate species) is below 400...says anything to me.

Calling others opinions dumb is very smart of course. And to your second point. No, it is just expressing the own opinion.

I didn't wanna get involved, but come on, man. Calling people dumb isn't helping, you're just feeding the fire.

Becks explained that we all have different opinions. Like, I really want the wolf to be the Mackenzie wolf, but others prefer it as it is.

You're showing quite a sarcastic attitude and behaving as if we are all against you. I only saw 1 other user that did this and it totally ruined the fun out of a thread. Don't be like them. Just accept that we all don't have the same opinion as you

You can't talk about accepting others opinions and then call people extremely dumb for what animals they want in a zoo game. I guess only your opinions should be accepted?

I didn't call other opinions dumb, I just said that it seems that a lot of the people that took part with this meta wishlist don't seem to know anything about wildlife...otherwise a lot of these rare, highly interesting and highly endangered species wouldn't be somewhere lower than rank 200. And in my opinion this is dumb.

Same. Until now literally only one other poster I've seen behaving in this way. Fossa, is that you in disguise MarcB096???

So what, though? It's a wishlist, with animals they wanna see in-game. That was the whole point of it.

There are animals I like that nobody else wants (and y'all know which one I'm fighting for). There are animals others want that I don't. There are hundreds of users here. You can't expect them to all choose rare species. Like it or not, that's just how it is

Take a step back, breath in, breath out, and think for a second.
You like rather unknown and unpopular animals and thats cool and all, but arnt other people also allowed to like what they like?
With the hyena discussion, i for example prefer the striped hyena, as its common in captivity, has a far range with many underepreseted areas and i simply think it looks the coolest.
Just like you prefer the brown hyena for your reasons.
But just prefering something else isnt neccesarly talking down other options, eventhough its a lie to say its never the case, matter of fact before this i had my own little rant about why a wild yak would be stupid compared to a domestic one.

While we all have our subjective wants, there are some objective criteria to judge animals on, if people like it or not.
People may not agree on a subjective level and prefer other stuff, but we can propaply all agree on that something completly new is better for the game then something very similar to something in the game, for example a swan vs a third tiger or brownbear.
There are a few criteria, being common in zoos, looking unique, unique habitat needs, being from an underrepresented region or taxa and a few more, but even here people cant agree on things because of personal preference and opinions.
Best example is the domestic vs non domestic and the europe vs no europe, where people simply say "no i dont want that" which is fair, but its hard to argue something like petting zoo animals do not belong into a zoo game, when its literally in the name and more common then literally any other animal (thank you african dwarf goat).
Overall people just have to agree to disagree on some things which is a okay aslong as everybody stays respectful about it

Well....when almost all of my suggestions are talked down or rejected, it seems to me that most of them are against me or my opinions.
I explained it over and over again, that it's disrespectful in my eyes to reply to suggestions with "no, I rather want this instead of your suggestions" instead of just accepting other suggestions as they are (what isn't happening if someone then replies "no I don't want that in the game"....even if some people always argue the opposite).
And because of that I will refuse to participate in any objective discussion. Because it's wasted time.

That isn't the case. People we're just stating that they prefer another species. Like Konig said, he gave reasons why the striped hyena is better to him.

Not everybody rejected your idea. If you look back, some people have some pros to the brown hyena, for example. @ElectricMonk said that nobody hates them, and @yoav_r said that they would be quite nice especially if we had more slots.

They just stated that many here prefer the striped. You responded with eye rolls, so @becks474 gave you the facts about this community preferring it.

We never said we didn't want it, nobody said it was a bad choice

I get this, but on the same time thats simply how a discussion works.
People state their opinions, compare them and try to find greater value in it, in the case of these forums most of the time its about what animals would best serve us if added to the game

Oh, ok....so " stating their opinions, comparing them and trying to find greater value in it" means to reject almost all proposals someone is making......................................🙄
