The first post has been updated with the finished chart. Grab it while it's still hot!![]()
Thanks! Thanks for creating this. I love this kind of stuff. One suggestion if you can find space: include the capitol ships and/or maybe a space station? (You could possibly have just the edge of a station running along one side of the image).
Most of the measurements come from prefim's work. The few that aren't (Imp. Courier and the Diamondbacks), I got by comparing the ships' dimensions to the size of landmarks on the landing pad. These numbers are possibly not quite as precise as the dimensions prefim got from the original model data, but good enough. Due to the inevitable perspective distortion, the dimensions of the ships' pictures in my chart don't match the actual numbers to 100% anyway, so that small amount of imprecision doesn't matter much. Thanks for doing this. How did you work out the scaling?
Here we go…!
Updated August 11, 2015:
A long time in the works, but finally here: My complete full colour chart with all player-flyable ships in Elite: Dangerous to date shown to scale. The current version is labeled V 1.3, to correspond with the version of ED it reflects.
You'll find the download link for the full-sized DIN A2 (594 x 420 cm) PDF after the picture in the spoiler tags below.

Dude, half your ships are not completely vertical, ie. the 'Conda looks funny, not perfectly straight up.
You are right about the Anaconda (and to a lesser extent the Orca) but all other ships are almost perfectly aligned with their vertical axes to the grid. There are some that are not well aligned to the picture's plane, though, i.e. they are slightly tilted to the left or right. It's not so easy getting this straight (no pun intended). If you think you can do better, feel free to contribute.Dude, half your ships are not completely vertical, ie. the 'Conda looks funny, not perfectly straight up.
