I hate Windows with passion since version 1.0, but when a game runs fullscreen i don't see the OS and couldn't care less.
Can we have a MS-DOS version ?![]()
So this is just an anti-Windows sentiment, not necesarily an anti-Micorosft sentiment then?

Shouldn't be so far of with a Mac version in pipeline... Depending on what sort of technologies they choose. But If they do the Mac version in, say C++11, and use a 3D engine based on OpenGL there should be a quite small effort to port it to GNU/Linux or Android/Linux systems.
I agree, it's looking like a Linux stretch goal would of been better, but that doesn't take into account all the people who voted *nix as they would gladly dump windows tomorrow if it meant they could still game.Yes, but the point is, they made a Mac stretch goal based on an overwhelming amount of Mac interest. But this poll isnt exactly reflecting that.

in my view a Linux goal wouldn't of added to the user base, just taken from the existing one while Mac support is a genuine widening of the user base as a lot of people have a Mac and no windows compared to the few who have Linux but no windows or Mac.
So, despite what the poll suggests I'd say FD got it right.
Ideally Linix because I want to convert to Linix but right now windows gets the most support

I'm till wondering how much work it would take to port Oolite to JavaScript so I could play it during meetings at work
You can run Oolite from a thumb-drive.
