Console Profile Copy Process - Live Now!

I've read the FAQ... It seems I have to delete my PC commander. I want a clear answer on whether my console assets gets ADDED to my PC assets. Because what I get the feeling is going to happen... I am going to move my console commander to my PC and I'm going to lose my PC progress and assets which are WAY higher than my console assets. And at the end all someone is going to say... Well it was perfectly obvious that was what was going to happen, since we did say to delete your commander in order to merge.

So if the accounts get "merged" do I keep my highest ranks, money gets added together, all my ships get added to my fleet, my planet permits get added to my PC account, and my skins and kits get added to my current set?

Like this is incredibly frustrating, I PAID for both my console game and my PC game. Getting Odyssey is not a problem. The problem is that I AGAIN for the THIRD time have to GRIND TIME consuming events. Not to mention the frustration that I was now getting used to the idea that I could have a commander out in the void and another back in the bubble (though this is the least of my concerns, I am ok with being in one spot).
I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding or not. You can keep your existing PC commander, create a new account and then have your console commander transferred to the new account (this will give you a new copy of Horizons). That will give you 2 PC accounts while keeping your existing console account. The only drawback I can see is that you'd have to buy the DLC for both PC accounts, but that's the same for anyone that wants keep 2 PC accounts.

Use a second freebie email address - create a new Frontier account using that, then console transfer to the new Frontier account. That leaves your current PC commander intact.

I don't want to manage a separate email in which then I have to have two new sets of logins. I just don't understand why the commanders can't be transferred over to one email account and you pick your commander based on a drop down. Now if this is not available I understand there is technical limitations. All I want is a clear answer that IF I merge my console account to my PC account, my PC commander stays intact with all achievements and my assets like my credits, skins, fleet, achievements, permit locks and materials all get added to my PC account that I already have a bunch of stuff on.

For some reason Frontier set up an architecture with 1 Frontier account = 1 Commander, sadly you can't log in to your account and then choose which commander you want to be today.

If that it is not a comprehensive merger that includes all the stuff stated above, I need to know because then I need to weigh which commander I want to keep. And at the minimum would I be able to transfer my credits from my console to my PC? Because I'm going to have to sell a lot of crap on my console account. Gosh darnit (I use the soft term for fear of being reported but by God it should be a stronger term) my blood pressure is rising because of this whole issue. Every asset is going to get taxed just as I sell them just to buy them back on PC...

There is no merging. To transfer to an existing Frontier account you have to delete the ED save that exists on it first.

Will my console Commander's progress merge with my existing Commander on PC?
No. Please see the question "I already have a PC account. Do I need a new one?" above. You will need to clear your PC save to allow the console save to copy across. Any In-game customisation purchases that you have on both platforms (such as Paint Jobs; Bobbleheads and Ship Kits) will merge - however - and be available to your PC CMDR.

No merger I'm afraid.
There is no merging. To transfer to an existing Frontier account you have to delete the ED save that exists on it first.

And if you decide to keep your PC Commander you may as well copy the console to a freebie new Frontier account before the full transfer window closes - you may never touch the transferred commander, but it gives you the option to in future. After Nov 29 the full console copy process won't be available any more.

What will happen to Livery/Customisation items unlocked or purchased on my existing PC account? Will I be able to access these on my transferred CMDR?
All items unlocked or purchased on the PC and Console accounts will merge, and all will be available to the newly copied CMDR on PC.
That is what I am afraid of. Look I mostly just want my skins and if possible my credits. I don't want to have to delete my PC commander to do this. My console commander is WAY behind on ranks and missions but almost equivalent in assets in regards to fleet and credits.

Question, do I need access to a PC to complete the process or is it just the account will be transferred and ready to go the next time I do have access?

I haven't a pc and I transferred across when this process was first brought out . The transfer is painless and surprisingly good and easy considering it's Fdev . And if I get a pc I have my username and password to log on . ( Hopefully as it's not been tested 🤣)

I think this might be the best course of action. I'm not getting my answers here.
I don't think anyone here is in a position to give you an answer (rather just speculation and opinion), unless they've worked it out for themselves already. Contacting support really seems the best option.

I think my best option is CMDR Wealth and in-game customization transfer.

- CMDR Wealth represents the total credit value of your Commander's assets to another platform (Credits and the Credit value of all owned ships and modules). If you own a fleet carrier, you will need to decomission this before we can complete your request. - In-game customisations are items, such as Paint Jobs; Bobbleheads; Ship Kits and all other items purchasable with Arx. They will be added to any customisation already available to the PC account (if any). These will not be removed from your console CMDR and will be available on both platforms once the request is complete.
My next question is do I have to sell all my assets first or will this be done automatically? Also will it be taxed? Like will I not get full value on my modules?

Question, do I need access to a PC to complete the process or is it just the account will be transferred and ready to go the next time I do have access?
You need a device you can use a web browser on and access to the email account you will be using.
Once the copy is complete you will be able to log in to the PC copy at any time in the future and will be free to continue playing on console for now.
