Spring dlc Speculation 2023

I'm down for just animal packs moving forward. I wish for more building pieces and props, but I wish for animals more.

Yep... plus, unless you're a serious builder, what are the odds you'll ever make full use of all those building pieces? Doesn't help that half the time they're more theme park than zoo. I mean, think about it... what's more useful to the average player? A meerkat... or a giant ancient Egyptian inspired meerkat statue?

There are seven species of bird-of-paradise kept in zoos in Europe (the most common is the king, in 7 zoos, followed by the lesser, in 6). Four of those are also kept in Singapore's Jurong Bird Park. At least three species in North America. A few species are kept in Indonesia, and perhaps unsurprisingly the Port Moresby Nature Park in Papua New Guinea has the most - eight different species. The lesser is the one species kept in Europe, North America, Indonesia and PNG.

also the easter is on the 9 April so I think we will get a dlc before isn't? so it like 3 months to wait for hopefully a new dlc! I think the next dlc will maybe give us another walkthrough! maybe the first bird? possible maybe another mammal like sloth or tamarin? possible! also if frontier will give us sloth as exhibit animal I hope they will make a juvenile for them, I need to see a baby sloth! I hope the next dlc will be also animal pack, because the lately animal packs they are just great!

I just understand that animal could be even better then scenery pack when they have a great choices of animals like the new grasslands animal pack I adore every animal in the pack! it could be like Easter pack but I don't know!

this year is on the easter is on the 9th I think it would be very close to the easter like maybe it will launch in like 4th in april. south america pack launch on the 7 Apr and the easter was on the 12th in april, SEA launch on the 30th in march and the easter was on the 4th in april, wetlands launch on the 12th in april and the easter was 17th april, and this year the easter is on the 9 april so I think the next dlc hopefully should launch few days before the 9th. so it likely frontier release their dlcs before holidays. you can also see the spring dlc launch 5 days before the easter

Yes, that's what we were saying, we didn't mean it was released on Easter, we were saying that it gets released in the week of Easter 😅 So yes, the 4th is the most likely release date, and the week of the 20th of March is most likely the week in which we'll get the update reveal.

Your initial post made it sound as if we were going to get another DLC before the Spring DLC, my bad!

oh I didn't understand what u mean haha my bad too :ROFLMAO: and yeah I'm think in the 4th it should launch. ohh oops yeah I didn't mean that we will get another dlc between this one and the spring one, I'm not good at describing things hahaha

Yes, please! Since it's already a feature in Planet Coaster, there's really no reason it can't be added to Planet Zoo.

Something I've been thinking about. Either they are saving the baboon species for the Hamadryas baboon in a desert pack, or we are never getting one. Because otherwise this would have been the perfect pack for it.

Here's one issue though. A desert pack would almost certainly be an animals pack, but the grasslands pack just cannibalized it a bit. A good pack roster is a bit harder to do now. Caracal is now out. Emu is now out. Armadillo is out. Striped hyena is now out, and the brown hyena is pretty unlikely because of that too. Scimitar oryx is out. What would a 7 + 1 roster look like at this point?

This are unfortunate but good points. A desert pack could look like:
  • Dromedary
  • African spurred tortoise
  • Addax
  • Hamadrayas baboon
  • yellow footed rock wallaby
  • collared peccary
  • some clone like the arabian oryx
  • exhibit

And there's still the porcupine, echidna, perentie, saiga and several more candidates.

But yea we lost quite a few good candidates, but frontier has shown willingnes to put species that don't fit perfectly. Like the red-necked wallaby is not really a grassland-associated animal, yet it made it in.

I'm just eyeballing animals online since this isn't my knowledgeable department so:

  • Somali Wild Donkey
  • Sand Cat
  • Ringtail
  • Dromedary Camel
  • Hamadryas Baboon
  • Roadrunner
  • Addax antelope
  • Costa hummingbird (WE)
