Here is the experience after my recent first upgrade...Yepyep, but having seen a video where Nemo plays a CZ successfully mostly with an Executioner, i can see why he wasn't in too much of a rush to upgrade... ;]

He's heading to a Compromised Nav Beacon to do some fighting.![]()
Just be sure to keep your ships mass below the Optimal mass of the EPT otherwise your performance won’t be particularly enhanced. Thanks to Tyres, who put me on the trail of the EPTs, the Interstellar Travelall now blows through normal space about 100 m/s faster than before and almost 200 m/s faster under boost.
Before, it was about 280 m/s and approximately 350 m/s boost, now I hit the speed traps at 381 / 571.
But I agree with Tyres, it would be nice to have these enhanced thrusters in bigger sizes, too. Especially under the recent circumstances. Many a rescue ship would greatly benefit from these. Our AX fighters surely, too.
Yeah, I read about that.Just be sure to keep your ships mass below the Optimal mass of the EPT otherwise your performance won’t be particularly enhanced.
Fitting name...My iEagle boosts to, iirc, 961. It's fun to fly but it has some major downsides. Firstly, it has no shields. Secondly, it's too fast for the ADC which slams it into the landing pad. Given the first downside, visits to the rebuy screen can get frequent.
It's called Screaming Dr Berserk.
Bummer. Though I tend to find some in other HS, too. Albeit only a little...The only trouble is, none of those hotspots are Tritium.
This is my fastest ship, a Viper MKIII. It's interesting to cruise at 710m/s, and also dangerous (for me, anyway). It's like flying a banana peel. The ship is only good for going fast.My iEagle boosts to, iirc, 961. It's fun to fly but it has some major downsides. Firstly, it has no shields. If you can live with losing like 8% top speed, the Viper Mk.III can make an excellent runner for those only slightly illegal neighbourhood assertion missions (you know, "scan that datapoint", "destroy this generator", that kind of thing). Admittedly, it's a small niche - but at usually >1 MCr. per pop. nothing to be sneezed at. And the demand for those missions can be quite high. Just in case, make sure you bookmarked a few friendly neighbourhood interstellar factors before attempting to rent out your impartial services to a previously offended faction. This is my fastest ship, a Viper MKIII. I have the same ship although I can only get her up to 931 m/s. To quote Dr. Hook:’She’s got legs and knows how to use them’…My iEagle boosts to, iirc, 961. Found a metallic ring with 2 x Platinum & plenty of other hotspots today - power’s out atm, but can post a pic a bit later, after 8pm here… *Eeep. My bad - that 961 should read 932. I need to go to Tosche Station and pick up some power converters.
