Totally true!Let's just say we keep this in hindsight, but keep our voices loud on our continual support, huh?
It's up to them whether they're ending or not, and most certainly not us based on assumptions.

just go to Steam DB and compare the data collected there.Do you have data on this to share? Preferably showing sales paired with time after release of the DLCs from 2022 compared to 2023?
That's because there was literally no more ideas while there are plenty remaining for PZ for 2024.They also stopped support for PC all of the sudden, but hey we all were sure the game would get a lot more DLCs. And of course as soon as PZ ends, they will start developing on the next title. But its not like they support this game until said PZ2 will release. You cant seriously think that.
Exactly, besides it's not like they're fresh out of ideas that quickThat's because there was literally no more ideas while there are plenty remaining for PZ for 2024.
Yes, until the game is formally announced they need to continue to engage with fanbase and keep them committed. Games take years to develop and are announced in the final year. If Frontier ends DLCs 4 years before PZ2 release, the fanbase will dissipate and a rival game studio might try to take the market.
JWE2 already was the Most succesful Game Last year. It surely profits from the movie Brands and from console port (even me has JWE2 now as it was Part of the PS Plus Essential Games for free this month)exactly, because it already shows heavily that PZ isnt their most selling game anymore. Performance (player base and overall sales) for the last two DLCs (including Arid DLC) was way lower than usual as well.
I see no major drop-off, basically the more recent packs are selling better than the older packs with 2023 Tropical and Arid doing significantly better than 2022 Grasslands.just go to Steam DB and compare the data collected there.
Is it a weekly or monthly list? It seems clear that newer Packs are now Higher on the list of sold DLC because a Lot of people have the older DLC. Interesting would be what Positions the other packs had when they were released.I see no major drop-off, basically the more recent packs are selling better than the older packs with 2023 Tropical and Arid doing significantly better than 2022 Grasslands.

Yes I have the same dudePositions the other packs had when they were released.
Interesting that aquatic still stands as the outlier from the general trend of dlc popularity in relevance of release date. Apart from that it doesn't tell us anything new that we didn't already know about.I see no major drop-off, basically the more recent packs are selling better than the older packs with 2023 Tropical and Arid doing significantly better than 2022 Grasslands.

Can someone make this comparison? Is it a weekly or monthly list? It seems clear that newer Packs are now Higher on the list of sold DLC because a Lot of people have the older DLC. Interesting would be what Positions the other packs had when they were released.
Expansion Pack and starting PZ 2.0 instead of a new PZ 2 would surely my prefered Thing and would be a good Thing for all Players for the beginning. But to be honest a new game brings more Money and more new players (getting everything gets more expensive with every Pack) to the game unfortunately. I Hope for an Expansion and an Evolution of the Game but I Just seriously doubt it. And for a PZ sequel birds are surely one Main reason for people to buy it. I See no real other reason to buy a new Zoo game in 3-4 years after we already have this great choice and quality of animals.questions...
Would an Expansion Pack be seen as something more than a new DLC pack? (I would have thought yes)
Could the support for base game end and then start onwards from the theoretical expansion pack?
Wouldn't the autumn season / anniversary date be the best time to release such an larger expansion? - leading into the festive season.
The largest installments of the game have come in the latter months of the year - base game, aquatic pack and twilight pack (it was 'late')
So in my mind logically IF there was going to be a major expansion then the next date in the schedule which could be a late autumn release is the time to do this. Flying, monkey business, egg laying or full aquatics would be bigger updates than swimming and the walkthrough exhibits. And if Planet Zoo has hope of continuing for a few years in some form it needs to start introducing these concepts.
So I would say hypothetically that a this stage Frontier have nothing to lose with an Aviary Expansion Pack. It either flops and well the game was going the way of the dodo anyway OR it takes off the shelves and the has gathered some renewed interest to continue for another 4 years.
But then what do I know?
Announcement/Launch Trailer views (but these accumulate over time). In my opinion, launch trailers correlate more with how attractive the videos are made (and how often they are shared to the non-buying public) as opposed to intent to buy. Announcement vids capture more accurately interest. It is enough to see the latest DLC trailers to see that there are not many people interested as they used to be a year ago, an is ok, at one point it had to happen, really the only thing we can do to support the game is buy the DLC
I think it's better not to hope for something like an 'expansion pack'. There is zero indication that Frontier would ever do something like that for this game.Would an Expansion Pack be seen as something more than a new DLC pack?
Again, nobody is claiming to have more knowledge about the endgame than anyone else. I'm starting to think that this contrarianism around the game ending is an emotional reaction, not a logical examination. Let's look at the facts once again:anyone here doesnt know when the game will stop receiving updates and dlc, the only ones that know that is frontier.
