Winter 2023 DLC Speculation

Imo, there's a chance that Planet Zoo lasts until Summer or Winter of 2024 depending when the new CMS game for FY2025 is coming out or weather if its Planet Coaster 2 or a new Planet game..
Which is why I'm banking on more content through next year. Planet Coaster ended in the June before PZ's November release. If they stick to a November release for their new on-brand game, then it makes sense that PZ will follow the same pattern and come to a close in the June beforehand (so the summer 2024 DLC). That way the FY25 release of the new game would be November 2024.

Frontier does like November release dates for their games. I just wonder if we're gonna get two Planet games back to back or are we actually getting a Jurassic World Evolution 3. That's for the future tho. I do expect an announcement of the FY25 game next year. Maybe at Summer Games Fest or at Gamescom. For Planet Zoo there's some stuff to add to the game. But I don't expect a PZ2 anytime soon.

YouTubers crave attention so they engineer clickbait. It's literally their bread and butter
I'm gonna be the 1st YouTuber to not have clickbait🤪

I can see PlanZo support until shortly after the next Planet game is released. I don't see a PlanZo 2 nor a JWE 3. I don't even completely see a PlanCo 2 only because the current game isn't horribly outdated; you can still make some pretty good parks and stuff as it is

I can see a planco 2 since it has been close to a decade since original release even though the game isnt that outdated. While i dont like the idea of JWE 3 since the last is only 3 years old and still perfectly fine i can see universal pushing for it. I think these are the 2 most likely options for the upcoming CMS game releases mentioned other than a completely new planet game like planet golf or something.

I don't think JWE3 is going to happen - there's no new Jurassic content to build off of. The franchise is finished.

You'll probably still do it, because you won't make any money without traffic, and clickbait is the fastest way to get traffic. That's why YouTubers do it. That's what I meant by "attention is their bread and butter". They have to suck people in by any means necessary, or else half of them will have to go and get jobs.
I'm a youtuber, I don't clickbait (or at least I don't think I do lol) and I still get decent publicity on each video. Obviously not pulling out earth shattering numbers but still decent. But to be fair I dont have a professional career on the line, I'm more so just doing youtube as a non profit hobbie/business.

TBH, there's plenty of chatter on both sides of the fence as far as what longevity the game may or may not have. It's in the forums, YouTube, Discord, and beyond. Not sure how people could miss it. There was a lengthy conversation about this in this very thread like, two weeks ago.

...And I'm starting to think I might be watching the wrong YouTubers because I can think of only one off the top of my head who does it for a living (the rest seem fine doing it as a hobby). So I dunno about all'a that... I just know they're all pretty nice people trying to do the best they can. So I don't mind the occassional click-baity title so long as the content is legit.

Anyway.

I'm doubtful about a desert or islands pack especially if we only have a limited handful of packs left. There's definitely an animal or two people are clamoring for but there's such a steep drop-off after the first two that I just don't see it. Most of the other packs folks have been chatting on the last month or so feel far more likely at this stage.

You can still readily fill a roster. But the demand, and general awareness of possible animals as being related to those biomes kinda drops off hard after the first two or so.

So. Y'know. Just give me my arboreal animal pack, please and thank you.
Fine. Whatever. Highlands is fine too, I guess.

Anyways, let’s start another debate:
Aoudad or Bighorn Sheep?

I’ll start: I’m personally gonna go with Bighorn Sheep. I love building NA sections and it would be a great addition. Aoudads are also very cool too. I would be happy with either.
The Dall’s sheep seems to have taken the spot for a NA caprine and even if we get another NA caprine then the best option would be a rocky mountain goat rather than another spiral horned sheep. So I’d do with Aoudad despite it not being one if my favorite caprines.

Personally, I'd go with aoudad. Bighorn sheep and Barbary sheep are similar in looks but also in environment as warmer weather sheep. Now, the advantage of the aoudad is that it's from Africa, giving us a caprid from Africa, but also it's the largest sheep, I believe.

On another subject, despite my arachnophobia, I would actually like to have a WE filled with or weaver spiders. I can picture set areas with webs in between, representing females, and then we can buy tiny males as well. Wouldn't that be something?

I'm pretty neutral on this one. Either would be fine, but neither would be something I'd be particularly excited about getting in-game at this point.

Question for everyone: Do you prefer Raccoon Dog or Bush Dog?
I'd be happy to get either! (I don't have hope for another canid...)
However, If I have to choose, I am wholeheartedly on Team Tanuki!
Why? Its fluffy and adorable. We could use more Japanese Species. It looks unlike other dogs (aside from maybe my top wishlist animal, bat-eared fox) in its markings. It has a bit of culture (meme type) in being represented in Animal crossing.

Same. Tanuki. I grew up with tanuki in Super Mario Bros 3. Fantastic animal and they can fly, too (oh wait)

I'd be really excited about either of the two getting added to the game! If pressed, I think I'd have to pick the bush dog over the tanuki simply for the SA representation but... Either would make me very happy.
