I do manage to get what I want eventually with all of it except water and the auto correct on the paths is still vile. Most of those collision issues should be manageable by using the controll method and adding the path after terraforming but before building fences or faculities and you should be good to go
more to the point that it needs to be better explained to beginners.I want to say 'um acktually' but then I do realise not everyone has been fighting with the paths for 6 years straight to finally bypass all these issues.
That's a killer pack right there. Painted stork over green peafowl every day though.Nobody talking about an India pack? Is that just because itâs a seasonality thing to expect a cold climate DLC?
Iâve said it before, but an India pack would be so diverse.
Youâd get a bear, a cat, a primate, a deer, a couple of antelope, a habitat bird, and the first flying bird. Who wouldnât buy it!?
- blackbuck
- fishing cat/Indian leopard
- nilgai/gaur
- sloth bear
- grey langur
- painted stork/green peafowl
- Barasingha deer/chital
- greater hornbill walkthrough (Iâm an optimist)/jungle fowl
I would take this. I wouldnât be overly excited by it cause other than the blackbuck and hornbill none of the others really get my attention. But I wouldnât hate it either, I know some want more India representation.Nobody talking about an India pack? Is that just because itâs a seasonality thing to expect a cold climate DLC?

Alternatives: Indian leopard, barasingha deer, chital, green peafowl, jungle fowl (one for you farm pack people).

This is a very good point. And I'd take it a step further and even go so far as to say that the scenery items we would be likely to get with a pack like this would be more useful to players across the board (in the same way that the Aquatic Pack was) while introducing new mechanics alongside the update. I think it would do very well, though yeah it may put some folks off...Animal Packs are also pointless to those who only play to build.
I doubt a Petting Zoo/Farm Pack would scare away a bigger group than that.
I'd be cautious about pinning down a specific day right now. We may get the announcement 11 days from now, but it could also be anywhere from Nov 27th (if the pack is very early on the 5th, though unlikely I think) to December 12 (if the pack is released on the 19th and is a scenery pack). I can't see a new update/feature/pack announcement before Nov. 27th and after Dec.12th But yeah, anywhere from a little over a week to a little more than 3 weeks.
I think the specific day for a hint/tease is tricky to pinpoint but I do feel pretty confident saying the pack will be dropping the 12th and not the 19th. The 19th is just too close and it would be pretty difficult to get a patch/update fix out ahead of that time off. The 12th would give them a solid week to do that if it's needed.Yep I know, but itâs most probable for the 12th. They need around 10 days between launch and announcement assuming itâs an animal pack. Looking at the calendar, if the pack comes on the 12th we get an announcement on the 30th or 1st, meanwhile if itâs the 19th as the launch weâll see a an announcement of the 7th or 8th.
19th seems too late though, cause itâs 6 days away from Christmas which doesnât give the buyer a lot time to purchase.
I think the "false advertising" bit is a non-issue. Would anybody really care? There's still value in the older pieces (e.g., it's quicker to pull the a 2m piece than it would be to grab a 4m piece and re-size it) and they wouldn't remove them because that would mess up older builds. I just don't see people getting upset that Frontier made the existing pieces more versatile so they might use a certain piece less.Secondly, the scaling. Builders love the idea of being able to scale virtually any scenery object in game to make complex builds without the need for lots of separate building pieces. The main issues is the gargantuan task of introducing a system for over 5000 very diverse scenery pieces, and how exactly to deal with the existing multi size pieces, advertised scenery pieces in dlc updates, store pages will be advertising false information if the multi sizes are removed, if not then scaling renders these different sizes useless.
See above. But I've really felt like scaling is more of a "toward end-of-support" feature because it makes everything more versatile. It cracks open all of the pieces they've added to the game over the years and would put the power into the players hands to really get creative with it.Especially scaling. Now instead of having to do base game items, they now have to do all the DLC scenery pieces and signs/statues that come with animal packs. I guess foliage could be left alone without the scaling but it would be odd to have it for many things and not that.
Honestly what might could work on scaling at this point is just rescaling the various art shapes - the ones that have several size options already, just make them scalable. That may be few enough it would not be too difficult a task. Those, and the letters/numbers too.
I don't really like the idea as it's real similar to the arctic pack. Any animL in it aside from maybe another penguin is gonna be from the arctic. Maybe a taiga themed pack could work as a mix between tundra and mountains. Either way I'm in the camp of wanting a Eurasia or greater Asia pack cause it's where a lot of my most requested animals at the moment are from.I donât know about the rest of the community but Iâm so hoping for a tundra pack next dlc. I know the other favored option is highlands and rightfully so. It definitely has some good options animal wise. To me though the tundra pack offers something unique and diverse. Itâs got a lot animals unlike anything currently in game. I truly think this a pack frontier would make some decent profit from as you only have to lock most people in for 2 or 3 of their favorite animals. On the other hand highlands seem very predictable imo and really could go with anytime of year as compared to tundra which is perfect for winter. I just think the game has grown stale and predictable to some people and with frontiers current state itâs time to introduce new animals to the game that offer more in terms of animations and behaviors. Once again this pack would offer frontier a golden opportunity to include something game changing and unique. Itâs the perfect chance to introduce the snowy owl which is popular in a lot of zoos here in the US.
my most wanted pack is an Antarctician themed one but yeah every one has their preferences. Out of all the ideas being thrown around the ones I would hate if they actually happened are highlands or domestics. This is a bit mean but I hate ungulates I find them boring and they all feel very similar to me so i dont really build for them but everyone is different.I would take this. I wouldnât be overly excited by it cause other than the blackbuck and hornbill none of the others really get my attention. But I wouldnât hate it either, I know some want more India representation.
Iâm pretty lenient in what this next pack is, the only one I would hate dead serious would be a tundra pack. Walrus, Musk Ox, another Penguin, Mountain Goat, Stoat, Puffin donât do anything for me whatsoever. Other than the Wolverine and the Arctic Hare, every animal Iâve seen wanted for a tundra pack doesnât get me excited at all. I would no joke build for Wolverine and the hare and just say âdone with this pack, back to other speciesâ cause I donât find them useful at all. And Im honestly scared cause this pack actually has a decent chance of happening, praying to the gods this one doesnât come true.
I wouldn't because you'd get a bear, a cat, a deer and a couple of antelope hahaYouâd get a bear, a cat, a primate, a deer, a couple of antelope, a habitat bird, and the first flying bird. Who wouldnât buy it!?
I've brought it up many times. My lineup is a bit different to yours, though;Nobody talking about an India pack? Is that just because itâs a seasonality thing to expect a cold climate DLC?

Well, this definitely prove that people have different tastes because this is litterally the pack I want the most. Walrus is my all time favorite animal (I guess my profile picture talks by itself), Wolverine, Musk Ox both are in my top 10 of expected species. Arctic Hare and Puffin are in my top 20. Not a fan of Mountain Goat but I would definitely be happy with a stoat.I would take this. I wouldnât be overly excited by it cause other than the blackbuck and hornbill none of the others really get my attention. But I wouldnât hate it either, I know some want more India representation.

If you hold the controll key while placing path you can freely place it aslong as the terrain allows it.I do manage to get what I want eventually with all of it except water and the auto correct on the paths is still vile.
also what exactly does the control method mean.
more to the point that it needs to be better explained to beginners.
I don't think there are any possible themes for the dlc left that we haven't discussed, I just hope that whatever it is it has useful animalsYou all know that the Dlc is going to be based on the only thing that we haven't talked in 307 pages, whatever that thing might be.
U mean I don't want a Safari pack or whatever. But if it has better representation then mostly ungulates and has things like baboon and secretary. Assuming we get no more African animals next year I wouldn't mind it.I don't think there are any possible themes for the dlc left that we haven't discussed, I just hope that whatever it is it has useful animals
Also I'll repeat again that I reaaaaaaaaaally want it to be birds but at the same time there is this odd feel about it being something more towards cold animals, because this years dlcs have all been kinda hot-themed. Like the least "hot" one was Oceania but it clearly had tropical vibes with the whole polynesian theme despite the animals being mostly temperate...
It's quite difficult to lean towards one or another given all the possible "contenders" are good ideas and each also has solid reasons to be next:
- A pack focusing on birds is possibly the most wanted thing in the community, and the secretary bird is top 1 on the wishlist right now
- A mountain animal pack is also very likely not only because of the obvious array but because they omitted a baboon in the arid pack, this might not be anything but imo it is a clear indicative that they are keeping the baboon as a seller for it using the gelada instead
- A general cold pack since we have quite a lot of cold-climate species in the top 10 of the list including the walrus, the wolverine and the muskox, this pack would most likely sell better than highlands at the expense of it being a scenery pack or not being a scenery pack and losing the possibility to have a native american theme.
The last idea I can think of is the disgusting Africa 3 pack by shoving in the secretary with a baboon, honey badger, serval and some antelope. This would be a nightmare scenario because of the Africa overrepresentation in the game reaching absurd levels and I definitely think there would be a pretty big general outrage because by all means it's the worst thing they could possibly do, like, look at the arid pack, if they do that again it will be a massive joke.
I mean if we get the rest of the missing africa species this would be pretty fire Ngl.The last idea I can think of is the disgusting Africa 3 pack by shoving in the secretary with a baboon, honey badger, serval and some antelope. Jesus, are people still saying this? Africa isn't "over represented", it's accurately represented. It could stand to be even more accurately represented.because of the Africa overrepresentation
