The good Thing. Easter this year falls to the end of March and Not mid of April. So If there will be a DLC (which I Hope and think) waiting is Not as long compared to the earlier years :)

Kind of Community Engagement stays a crucial thing. Even more when the company has some trouble. We as the customers are the people which are the most important Key Player to Bring Frontier Back to better times as we Buy the stuff they produce. So I think cancelling everything Community related Like the Livestream does Not Sound Like a really good Idea to me.

Easily calculated! I've added a count to the spreadsheet I made earlier with the number of days between DLC drops.

Our longest wait was for the Australia pack in Autumn 2020. The shortest is usually the wait for the December pack. They've managed to have a bit more of an even spread this year. Spring is usually the longest wait - you're right.

We have more or less three fix Dates since 2021. Second Tuesday in December for Winter, Tuesday before Easter in Spring and the Tuesday within the week Summer Starts for summer. Only autumn changed year by year.

So I have some thoughts. The stream for the JWE2 DLC is gonna be on Wednesday at the usual time the special PZ livestreams are. They could stagger the PZ livestream for that day, but I feel like it's fairly unlikely. So I'm thinking we may get a Grasslands-type announcement schedule (Thursday/Friday). I wouldn't rule out a Tuesday/Wednesday announcement because Frontier likes to change things up.
The only things I think we can be pretty much certain about is a Tuesday release on the 12th, and since it's likely an animal pack at least 9 days for screenshot reveals and the developer journal.

Ocelot and Bush Dog and no Rhea would be my dream based on your both posts. I would also Like to See the Rhea but the other two are more important to me. I would also Like to See the Spectacled Bear but this would Work perfectly with a Mountain based Pack.

Who knows, maybe this will be a huge DLC? Maybe it will be game changing like the aquatic pack was at first?

I’m gonna lock in my thoughts now, from highest likelihood to lowest:
  1. Some type of cold themed pack is my highest pick, I’m gonna say mountains/ tundra.
  2. Second most likely seems like a temperate pack, or Eurasia
  3. 3rd are the wild card picks, basically highly requested by the community. Either Latin America/ Amazon or a Bird pack.
I’ll be super surprised if it’s not any of the above, but we all know how Frontier loves to surprise us. Part of me is hopeful we may get a surprise Bird DLC (boosts winter sales, brings attention back to the game), but I doubt this next dlc will even have 1 bird. Oh well, I’m excited to see what it will be.

I know that the "flying" function is what we are looking forward to, but I have consulted some game production practitioners before, and they told me that the underlying code determines how many upgrades the game can have. Judging from the underlying code of PZ, I think if we get flying or completely aquatic animals, the effect is probably not what we want. In fact, I would rather have a PZ2 similar to JW2, which completely changes the underlying code and has good upgrade space. For now, the features I want most are the “soft net” that can be capped, gates to multiple habitats, a modular display box system and new animations for “group behavior”.
