Wouldn't it be nice to take out the entire command center using martial arts and some throwing knives?
I'd happy with the classic drunks' fistfight at the bar...

Couldn't agree more. That'll be the Chuck Norris DLC where you can kick anything instead of shooting it pressing E. Want mats from a Brain Tree? Kick it, want mats from a geyser? Kick it. Want juice from bio, kick it, want to book a flight, kick it, want to get goods from a container, kick it! Really looking forward to it myself.
I haveMaia 5c, the first barnacle site ever found. The surface poi is now middle of nowhere (nearest barnacle is quite far away in this planet), while it should be right next to very first known barnacle site ever found by cmdrs.
The Anaconda Graveyard - HD 76133 - 1c - Tourist beacon 706 is also middle of nowhere, wrecks are not present in oddy. This is very low from fdevs, it was conclusion of first distant worlds expediton, it was memorial of importance for almost anyone who took part of it (more for those who actually crashed there). Now when a new cmdr would visit it, they surely would wonder where those wrecks are.
Its preety much same of any geyser, canyon, mountian etc. tourist beacons, as since oddy relase, every planet got "changed", settlements well as poi's got shuffled or removed/changed with only few exeptions (engineers sites or jamson cobra site wich was put "back" by devs are only fews), but sadly most of surface tourist beacons did not had it be put back like that.
First two mentions are sites of historic importance, while cmdrs such as I, who been around when these events happen, well as visited them at some point, its just sad that they are gone. And I doubt these will ever go back. Fdevs dont care.
Of course, legacy still has it, but thats hardly count.... point is, that if someone such as like I would like to re-visit it, but this time with my own "legs", its not viable anymore to do so, just waste of time atm. Im not intrested seeing empty sites, I might well as just read it again in my codex, its preety much same, but with major diffrence, that I dont need go see it at person.
706 | Distant Stars Expedition 3303 | Outotch SA-U D4-0 |
Afraid these are broken as described. Last month I did a Raxxla Potato sector and found two tourist beacons on a well-trodden route which had clearly been put there to teach players about the geology. No ice fumaroles anywhere to be found anywhere near the tourist beacon for them.So will have to go back and check when i can but i see your point, however the POIs for geysers etc i would slightly dispute as the ones ive been to (all of them) do have one near the beacon location.
It would be nice if we could report things like that for Frontier to tidy up, and even if we can, are Frontier motivated enough to do it?Afraid these are broken as described. Wrecks are present in Odyssey ... no toutist beacon, but the POI is at the right spot

Not what they said though - they said the graveyard was gone in Odyssey. Makes you wonder how much to trust other stuff they say, lots of posts here are PEBCAKI guess the point was that after the "planetary re-generation" in Odyssey - they didnt bother to invest the resources to match and align the POIs with the tourist beacons.

But it doesn't - confirming the poster got two things wrong - double PEBCAK!@Elpapo confirming the tourist beacon exists
i very distinctly remember the first tourist beacon i ever saw in the game: it was for ice geysers. poi in the middle of nowhere. no geysers to be seen anywhere. now after a couple of years i have to say that really set the tone for the game...Ive done every beacon currently known and literally never sat there thinking "hey where's the stuff its talking about?"
Players "we want legs"
FDEV "here it is, legs for you"
Players "hippeeeeeee"
...the game comes out
Players "wut? unplayable!"
FDEV "that's what you asked"
Players "hmm ok, but I dont like it, byez"
....
This exacly was I did meant about whole thing.Still, the discussion started with the 700+ tourist beacons and it was mentioned that for planetary tourist beacons, the beacon is no longer aligned with the relevant POI
But it doesn't - confirming the poster got two things wrong - double PEBCAK!
I already far beyond having any hopes or "priorities" for this game... apart of what will be broken next in case of next update.Really I'm just surprised that ppl think tourist beacons getting moved and asteroid fields being interesting is more important that Ship Interiors and ELW - ppl around here have weird priorities
Atleast we both agree on something.* not that fdev will do any of them anyway![]()

Agree with what you're saying but having visited them all i still never got the feeling something was missing. My whole point was that these things should be next to beacons, as thats how they where added in first place.
