Doesn't do console players any goodJust so that everyone is aware, if you play both legacy and live you can earn 800 arx in game every week..
What an astute observation.
Frontier have come up with a wheeze to give no additional benefit to LEP holders. It is yet another reminder that Frontier products should only be paid for once they have appeared, not in advance.
Cobra 4 wasn't an expansion either, neither were the paid betas. It's not an expansion. Same way LEP holders don't get every single paint job, bobblehead or decal in the store for free.
Unless it's console ?? Sorry I just couldn't resist it . I'm back off to my dark corner nowNot really, if you buy a decent game off steam, lets say Horizon Zero Dawn, that's it, that's the game unless you buy the new expansion.
You buy Elite and then Ody and you get constant content updates, free stuff, narrative, CGs etc etc for free, other games you have to pay a subscription for that.
Fdev have to make money, that's clear, which do you prefer?

I'm sorry, I wish it was different!Doesn't do console players any good
If you play both Live and Legacy you could cut that in half!![]()
Yes please make the Cobra MK4 available on the Arx store, I'd buy it!Does this mean the Cobra IV might be available for ARX?
Will LEP or equivalents get the early access I wonder?
From the sounds of it, you'll only have the option to buy it with Arx both before and after August. Of course, the cost of doing so is equivalent to Odyssey itself, so... if you don't already have ten months worth of free Arx saved up..."...Python Mk II will be available in game for Odyssey players on 7 August for credits at Shipyards across the galaxy..."

Where do we fit in on this one? We're not Legacy.
It was included with Horizons, which LEP holders got for freeCobra 4 wasn't an expansion either, neither were the paid betas.
A tenner now, a tenner for the next.....hold on, the first was successful, so why not make it 15 ? And once 4 ships are out, all with early access, it's already almost the total price of an expansion. Just NO. What I was asking for the past few weeks was a release date for the Python MK II. We have that now. The three months wait for the general release is nothing compared to 6 years wait since the last ship.I don'.t have a problem with the idea of getting early access to a Python II with ARX - especially as I can buy enough ARX for under a tenner, not much more than a couple of pints! I personally think this is a clever move by Frontier.

So it was part of an expansion
Will I have to pay for updates, or expansions, or new content?
Some new features and content will be paid for, especially those that build significantly on the game. If you have pledged to £90 tier or higher then any expansions or updates are free.
Horizons 4.0 players will only be able to access the python MK2 by buying it in the Arx store."...Python Mk II will be available in game for Odyssey players on 7 August for credits at Shipyards across the galaxy..."

Updates are also free for LEPERS.
...may I see your source on Elite having not made any money in the last decade? Obviously Frontier's own financial reports won't do, they say otherwise. They haven't that's the point.

That's odd, they were an expansion in your last post. It's not an update - it's an in-game item/ship. Horizons was an update, Ody was an update. A new ship, is not, an update, and anyway - it's available in August, so Lepers get access to it anyway, for nothing (in real world cash terms). That remains free, as per the LEP.
Want it sooner? Buy some arx, otherwise you'll get it in August - there was never anything in the LEP stuff about not getting early access to something you'd get anyway.
That's odd, they were an expansion in your last post.
Frontier have come up with something original in ED terms, free content that requiries payment to access on launch day.
Plus exclusive content. The Python II is definitely exclusive content.Remember that the original store text for the LEP was:"For a limited time only, players will be able to purchase a Lifetime Expansion Pass granting access to all current and future Seasons of Elite: Dangerous. The Lifetime Expansion Pass also includes access to all Elite: Dangerous Beta builds to gain an early glimpse at upcoming game content before release plus exclusive content."
