Python Mk II & Updates To The Gamestore

50% or more increase is just a joke though, weapon/engine detailing going up from 2240 to 5000 is insane. Theres other stuff thats more than tripled, seems like we are funding the whole of Frontier now.
Yeah, those prices are .... ambitious. I'm guessing FDEV are pricing to make sale prices look good, which I'm guessing is when most actually spend arx. I'd argue we would likely spend more often if it was cheaper but maybe we historically don't? At those regular prices, yeah, don't think many will be funding the whole of Frontier.

Before getting out the pitchforks there is a possibility, as evidenced by the PP V2 deep dive, that Frontier might be offering a lot more Arx as rewards for playing, which if is the case would offset any increases to a greater or lesser degree.

That would depend on if they are increasing the amount earned or letting us earn it faster so we hit the 400 limit in less time.

But only if one gets heavily involved in PP, something that may not interest the majority of players - and possibly even less if they enforce the desired "open only" concept...

This.

I'll wait and see personally if extra in game arx will offset the price increases, but I simply cannot justify paying those prices for items I rarely even see. Love Elite, but I gotta eat :)

I feel like that might be the case too but it's a pretty big failure with the communications about everything being so fragmented and we have to interpret and decypher whatever they're talking about.

I would hope/assume there will be other game play that can provide arx; Titan attacks already do, but yeah, we would need more opportunities and a higher weekly cap to offset those new prices to make them palatable/viable to the majority I would think.

That is true but, at the same time, I would expect the prices to go up on the day that these alleged new ways to earn more ARX go live.
As things stand now, this looks like a preverse form of early access, if PP2.0 is really bringing those changes.

It has been pointed out several times, with evidence from genuine financial documents, that there were long periods where the whole of Frontier was funding ED, so it is quite hard to accept this as a valid beef unless you propose to rewrite history.

New Elite Dangerous content such as the Python MkII, Powerplay 2.0, ship bundles etc are for the Live version of Elite Dangerous. As previously announced, there are no current plans to bring updates to Legacy outside of critical fixes should they be necessary.
I dont see all post and possible aswer but I have a proposal for the Store: The posibilitty to Purchase Gifts for others Commanders. Similar to anothers stores. CoD for example.
Regards.
