By y'll have a great one, but before I leave I got a question, what's the origin of your icon, like mine being the land of Mr. Hyrax, that I just made up one day on Canva and an AI cutout tool, It's nothing that complicated, but what are the origins of your icon (I am asking about the icon that represents you not the username).
I like thylacines. Purple is my favorite color. I just combined the 2 and chose a 2nd color to match but also give some contrast. I went with tan-yellow, but I kinda wish I went with orange

Silhouette of my favourite big cat, the cougar. Mainly as a unique brand image for my YouTube channel.

Mine is a utahraptor paleoart, i think this image is particulally fitting as a pfp, considering it's my favorite animal in a good pose and lightining.

There was also my first/old pfp in this forum which was another interpration of what U. ostrommaysi might look like, but i had to change after discover some... controversy regard the artist how make it. There's also my reddit/discord pfp that features destoroyah, my favorite godzilla monster.

As a bonus, i pretend to change my pfp very soon, cuz i comissed a artist to make a new one, but it's still will take a while, so.

Just took nice looking bird from google. In this case it was red-tailed black cockatoo.

I love whales, and the North Atlantic Right Whale is one of the most endangered. The New England Aquarium does a lot of research with them, and they are pretty famous around parts of New England.

I was also debating using the Humpback Whale, but on gaming platforms I’m pretty sure I would never hear the end of it for “Humpback”

I change mine fairly frequently (I need something new yk?) but my current one is just me advertising ducks for PZ in a meme kinda way (my style is usually an animal with pixel glasses lol)

Ugh i'm frustrated with this game again (and well myself mostly). I opened a new map and i want to start laying out my plan with the terrain tools but i always struggle with the scale! Any tips on that guys? I have all plan out in a sheet of paper, but in game i can't tell if what i'm painting with the terrain is too big or too small lol

Not exactly sure if my knowledge of measuring scale actually applies to creative zoo builds. There are really 2 methods of measuring scale when trying to plan out areas using just terrain tools/paint, one is to use the 4 metre grid roofs/walls so you can get an exact measurement of the areas if you know how big you want to build. The other is using null barriers to create a null habitat to draw an outline of a habitat - make the desired shape and find the total habitat size. You can adjust the habitat size to get the total size just right - you can then build your zoo scale off that entrance habitat for example and get it in line with what you visioned.

You guys got me in a western mood! Actually I've been toying with the idea of writing a play/musical western, maybe something about the construction of the transcontinental railway? Not completely sold on the idea but it could be worth a shot
So after some research I think a better topic for a musical would be Buffalo Bill. I was struggling to come up with an idea for the conflict and plot of the show, and there are certain parts of the history that aren't really acceptable by today's standards, so I looked for a different topic. Buffalo Bill would be way easier to make into a show and he was also more acceptable in terms of his respect towards the Native Americans. It would be about his adventures of life, kind of like Hamilton maybe? I think that this one will definitely be better.

I know one way to handle it is kind of treat prejudice how movies like Django treated it. The KKK was a bunch of bumbling morons with evil intentions, and the slave owners got blown away at the end of the movie.

I think there is a really hard distinction with period pieces like this, where some people expect the racial issues be discussed. Which can create a problem if that wasn’t one of the main goals of the original piece of media to begin with. It’s kind of like making a film based in the 20s but not discuses any of the social poisons associated with the time.

I think it’s all dependent on how it is handled. Like I love Read Dead Redemption 2, but I remember articles written about how poorly the sections with the Natives were handled. I’m not Native so I can’t speak on how well it was/ wasn’t handled, but I can say while there were plenty of undertones regarding prejudice that was never the main theme/ plot of the game.

Yeah, exactly. The problem with the transcontinental railroad plot was that really the only way it could work is if the protagonists are the ones that are in charge of the railroad, and they were definitely not the best towards the natives. I won't go into details here but you can look into it if you want. I could do it from one of the railroad worker's pov but idk exactly what the plot of it would be. I think that Buffalo Bill would be a better topic because I can make the plot easier and I wouldn't have to worry about portraying characters in the right way as much as I would if I did the RR.

Times were different back then. It was I'm the middle of the American Civil War, after all. I'd suggest just looking around views from that time period. And don't let the cowboys wear jeans; that's s common misconception. Jeans weren't really around until later, and the pants if choice were things like chino pants; I actually have a cowboy costume

I have my channel up and have subbed to most of you guys on my new acc, I might start making vids tomorrow!
Wooo congrats! Send us a link! Can't see who my subscribers are on YT. You're inspiring me to make another vid! Did you manage to make a channel banner or would you like any more help?
